This one-of-a-kind pot is constructed of UV-resistant plastic and features 33 upright tines arranged in a circle to substitute the typical pot design. The pot is placed on a saucer that may be removed to drain any surplus water that has evaporated through the pot. Because the container is constructed of translucent colored plastic, it’s indeed perfect for orchids that want the light on their roots. Thus, the plastic needles tend to appear and may be pushed in, either way, allowing the roots to develop freely.

"I was looking for something for a new mini phal and this caught my eye. Different. Classy. I transplanted the orchid when it went into the rest phase and before long, it just took off - a new leaf and two flower stalks! It drains very well. I don't worry about over watering. When the media is totally dry, I just give it a thorough soaking, set it to drain, then dump the drained water from the saucer and it's good to go."

"Good value and quality product. I wasn't expecting a hanger because I read a review from a purchaser who said one wasn't included. However, there was a metal hanger included in my shipment! Unfortunately I had already purchased some hangers for it that I may not be able to return. I am happy with this basket though!"
