So far so good, love this one way more than our previous kettle because of its looks and much less annoying whistle. Can still hear it from a couple rooms away but with this one I don't feel like my ears are bleeding. Also there is a bit of a ridge around the bottom so with gas stoves it sort of catches the heat and helps it boil faster.
