This is our 4th Nest thermostat. We had 3 in our house and this one was for our condo. Works great. Gives us ability to adjust temperature while we are away. And we needed something to cover up some ugly brush strokes by my thermostat. This worked out well. It's essentially just a piece of stainless steel in the shape of a circle with the appropriate holes cut out. It fit my 3rd gen nest thermostat perfectly. Adds a nice asthetic.

You can operate the Honeywell RTH6580WF with your smartphone and connect it to Alexa and Google Assistant, which not only allows you to set the temperature with your voice but also allows you to connect it to other smart home devices. This is a wonderful option to consider if all you need is a smart thermostat that does the basics well.

Pretty straight forward, easy install. It seems to work efficiently as an upgrade.

Its built-in geofencing function works well and allows for helpful interactions with other smart-home devices, such as turning lights on and off when you come or depart. Apple HomeKit and Siri, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa are all supported with the T5.

I have had one of these for several years, and just recently moved into a bigger home. I brought that one with me, and added 3 more because the new home has several zones for heating and cooling. They all work great together, and I was even able to install one of these on electric baseboard with the help of an Aube RC840T-240 relay.

I really like the Alexa ability on this thermostat. Since I have a two story house it is a pain to go downstairs to adjust the thermostat at night. Now I can just tell my upstairs Alexa to change the temperature. I love it.

The ecobee mobile app and thermostat touchscreen share the same UI design throughout the whole ecobee thermostat line, so you’ll have the same experience on both the interface and the app.

I installed it myself last night while my husband and kids were out of the house. Took me about an hour and half, including one call to tech support to help me hook up the c wire. Seems to be working well and efficient. Love being able to control from my phone. Next to add sensors upstairs and downstairs.

This thermostat has a lot of features that make it ideal for small to medium apartments. It’s simple to set up and there’s no need for a C-Wire. This Nest Thermostat type is compatible with heating systems with up to two stages. One stage for cooling, one stage for heating, and another step for either heating or cooling are all supported by the Nest E.

Need to upgrade to "smart home". Google nest is easy to install and operate. Watch all the instructions online, and shut off the power, install the kit, turn the power back, test, work! All cables, are premarked, and color coded.

For smaller flats with just one thermostat, the Emerson Sensi Wi-Fi is a decent cheap option. Only HVAC systems with a C-Wire will function with this device. The control controls on the Sensi resemble those on a typical thermostat, including mode, menu, and program switches, as well as a menu choice and up and down buttons to alter the temperature and cycle through settings. On Android and iOS, a mobile app is available. The app also has a remote control and programming capabilities.

Installing this thermostat is very easy. Wire it up, setup the app, connect to it with the app, enter a code from the thermostat, and it connects to your wifi and is then available to view and configure in the app from anywhere.
