Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is the meaning of MTB?
A mountain bike, sometimes known as a mountain bike, is a bicycle built for riding off-road. Mountain bikes are similar to conventional bicycles in appearance, but they include features meant to improve durability and performance in rugged terrain, making them heavier, more complicated, and inefficient on flat ground.
Can I ride a mountain bike on pavement?
You may ride your mountain bike on paved roads if you choose. It’s important to remember that it will be more difficult to pedal (and hence slower) and that the pavement will be difficult on standard knobby mountain bike tires.
How much does an average mountain bike cost?
A good mountain bike will cost between $400 and $800, but there are other methods to save even more money on a good bike. Although some of the latest Mountain Bikes may cost thousands of dollars, there are many terrific alternatives at a fair price.
Does mountain biking considered as exercise?
Cycling is an excellent cardio workout. In an hour, you’ll burn roughly 400 calories. Mountain riding is more difficult since you must manage slopes and uneven terrain, requiring your upper body and core to work overtime. It’s a more comprehensive exercise than road riding, which is mostly a lower-body cardio workout.

2.PIVOT
Phoenix 29 Carbon Saint Mountain Bike
Stylish Carbon Frame MTB
The Phoenix has 29-inch wheels and a carbon frame that is ultra-slim. The time-tested shape allows for tight cornering and exceptional stability, while the use of carbon in the frame, seat post, and handlebar makes it lighter and quicker. Shimano Saint components are developed for downhill MTB riders and feature silent, bomber shifting as well as rapid braking power. The Phoenix’s geometry has been altered for the 29-inch version, allowing for a lower bottom bracket and the flexibility to use both coil and air shocks. The M29 is a downhill-focused carbon 29er made mostly with aftermarket components. The M29 frame, like any famous DH bike, features an outstanding linkage system that has been refined over time based on input from expert riders. The M29 stands out among DH completes because of its E*Thirteen Carbon wheelset, which also makes it one of the lightest alternatives available. If you’re a dedicated park rider or racer looking for top-of-the-line components all around, M29 is the way to go.

4.Trek
Session 8 27.5
Park Style Bike
The Trek Session 8 is an excellent park-style bike with an assortment of high-quality components and frame improvements that set it apart from other DH bikes. For outstanding handling and a pleasant squish to relieve harsh landings, a Fox Performance shock is combined with a 200mm RockShox BoXXer Select fork. The frame shape may be fine-tuned using an adjustable Mino linkage to meet the demands of the moment. The ideal amount of versatility for cycling down varied hills is provided by a 7-speed drivetrain made up of choice Sram GX components. A detachable debris guard protects the Session’s frame against scratches and dings on the bottom.
I bought this bike new from Mountain Mania in Tring to be my 2018 season race bike. I've upgraded it to Shimano components and fox suspension. I've raced sessions since 2012. This is my first aluminium frame and I'm very impressed, I now prefer it to the carbon frames. The sessions have a long development history and are very well sorted. The abp suspension design keeps the suspension active under braking giving you better traction into the corners. The geometry on these bikes is good however I would recommend a size larger if you are racing, I am riding a XL and I am 5ft 11 and it's perfect. Overall very good bikes.

5.Trek
Session 9 X01
Multi Features MTB
A 200mm BoXXer Ultimate fork and the Super Deluxe Ultimate RH on the rear provide excellent suspension (for 200mm of suspension there, too). For improved wheel travel, there is an idler pulley. For World-Cup-level weight and performance, you’ll obtain an X01 groupset. SRAM’s Code RSC brakes, which are among the finest downhill-class brakes available, are also a hidden feature. This is one of the priciest downhill mountain bikes on the market. But it’s jam-packed with race-winning technology from some of the industry’s biggest names. You will not be sorry if you purchase a Session if you have the financial means.

A Fox Factory DHX shock has been coupled with a world-class linkage design to deliver sufficient 180mm of travel on the Fox Factory single crown fork. The frame’s carbon composition keeps things lighthearted. The SB165 is ready to climb and adapt to various styles of riding thanks to a Shimano XT drivetrain with a broad range of gears. 7.CANYON
Sender CFR 29 Underdog
Durable Downhill MTB
The Canyon Sender is one of the most durable DH mountain bike designs available. Canyon was serious about building a ride that could bear massive impact forces easily, as seen by the crankset layout. Marzocchi’s fork and rear shock are outstanding qualities amid a long list of excellent components. SRAM supplies drivetrain components, including DH-specific cranks from Truvativ, a subsidiary of SRAM. High-end features include adjustable geometry, a changeable frame protector on the bottom of the down tube, and CR linkage round out the Sender.

8.NINER
WFO E9 3-Star E-Bike 2021
MTB with Pedal Assist
The WFO e9 merges enduro, electric, and downhill riding to produce something altogether unique. You have enough squish on the back with 180mm of coil-sprung travel and a 180mm fork to tackle some big downhill runs. You can climb back up to the top without using the chairlift or waiting for a shuttle with up to 20 mph pedal assist. If it’s extremely nasty, you could even use it in an electric-friendly enduro event.

Shore Park
Sturdy Mountain Bike
Norco Bikes can withstand North Shore-level abuse for an extended period of time, and this bike can take it all. On this Norco Mountain Bike, the aluminum frame is sturdy, and the suspension is top-notch. The front shock is RockShox’s Super Deluxe Coil Ultimate DH, while the fork is RockShox’s beefy BoXXer Select RC with 200mm of travel. You’ll see that Norco used an idler pulley to isolate the axle route from drivetrain forces, reducing kickback. For downhill bikes, SRAM’s GX DH transmission and Code R four-piston brakes are the industry standard.
