A lightweight frame and a RockShox suspension fork with 100mm of travel are included on this hardtail bike. The Talon 2 comes with either 27.5-inch or 29-inch wheels, depending on your preference. The bike comes closest to a premium singletrack racing bike when equipped with Tektro or Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. The Giant Talon 2 is the MTB for commuting, hitting the trails, and taking your off-road activities to the next level. It climbs nicely, much better than entry-level bikes, and descends smoothly.

This has been a solid bike so far. Cant complain about a thing.

Regardless of the bike’s class, the Trek Marlin comes with a high-quality aluminum frame. In truth, the bike’s quality is determined by the components, yet you still receive Bontrager and Trek’s top-of-the-line equipment. The Marlin 4 is made up of low-cost components and materials. For example, instead of hydraulic disc brakes, it has mechanical disc brakes, which are significantly superior to rim brakes. A 100 mm SR Suntour travel fork with coil spring and no lockout is also included on the Marlin 4. An Altus drivetrain is also included on the bike. The necessities are ideal for novices, but this is a bike for less demanding riders. If you want to ride about town, commute, ride on easy terrain, and undertake light rides, this is the bike to have.

A gift to myself. I'm 6'4 245lbs and mainly ride on road. I basically cruise the neighborhood for some light cardio, and occasionally get some interval/sprints in. Plan on going off road soon more consistently. Just getting back into my groove snd this bike is perfect for that. Can always mod down the road if need be.

The Specialized Chisel Comp is a mid-range cross-country bike with all the attributes of a beginner’s cross-country bike. The bike has a light alloy frame, and Specialized has said many times that it is the lightest aluminum bike they have. If you don’t mind a light alloy frame over a carbon fiber frame, the Chisel Comp is a terrific bike to go with. Chisel is equipped with RockShox forks measuring 100 mm and Shimano Deore components. It’s the ideal bike for riding on normal trails, but it can also be pushed to its limits on the cross-country circuit.

Received this bike as an upgrade from the Rockhopper and I am soo glad I did. The smooth shifting shimano 1x12 mixed with the snappy brakes make this bike a beast on trails. The frame is super light which any rider will appreciate after a long day climbing hills. Definitely recommend this for any rider who values quality and doesn't need a full sus for their ride type.

On this bike, the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes give the finest stopping force. Looking for a bike that performs well on both climbs and descents? Even on tough routes, the Vitus Mythique is the ideal bike to ride.

This bike looks absolutely stunning in person. It is odd to say that grey looks good but it looks GOOD. My bike came packed very well and everything was as to be expected. Dropper rises and drops. Shifting was absolutely crisp out of the box. Overall very pleased with this bike and would absolutely buy it again!

The Liv Tempt 1 provides excellent bikes for female cyclists. Liv is a manufacturer that specializes in developing and producing lady-specific bicycles. The Liv Tempt 1 is a high-quality bike with 27.5″ wheels that your girlfriend will love riding. The female-specific Tempt 1 is jam-packed with high-quality components, making it a great value. It has a 100 mm travel SR Suntour XCR air shock and an 11 SRAM SX Eagle drivetrain, making it an excellent climber. The bike also has Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, which are excellent at stopping you quickly, even if you fall. Women who wish to improve their cross-country and trail riding abilities might choose the all-around MTB. It’s also a wonderful bike for getting around town and going on adventures. This is the bike for you if you’re searching for a bike present for your girlfriend or if you’re a mom who wants to go outside.

The DTR 1.2 is a popular model and an excellent starter hardtail mountain bike. Despite the fact that the bike has a curved top tube, like most women’s bikes, it is equally suited for males. Adults who are just starting out in mountain riding are the target market for this bike. It has a Suntour Raidon Air fork with lockout for a more comfortable trail riding, as well as strong hydraulic disc brakes. A 39% Shimano Deore transmission with a hollow tech crank mechanism is also included. The DRT is the ideal bike for someone seeking for a less expensive bike who isn’t sure if they want to go dirt jumping, trail, cross country, or downhill.

This is great for a starter bike. I got this bike in May 2020 and it has been fantastic and has handled everything I could throw at it. I did end up replacing the fork with an air fork though.

A carbon front triangle and an alloy rear triangle are included with the bike. Depending on your budget, the front and rear suspension are either RockShox or Marzocchi, with 150 mm rear and 140 mm front travel. The bike also has a Shimano Deore 11-speed transmission and enduro-specific design for excellent trail and enduro performance. The bike’s 29″ wheels allow it to go over obstacles more easily. Vitus Escarpe is an excellent climber who excels even more on the descents. This bike is for novices and bike geeks who have found their passion for rugged routes and enduro riding.

So happy with my Vitus. I have been riding it for 2 months, 1-2 times per week, 10-20 mile rides. The bike climbs superbly over steep, rooty, wet trails. Descending, the bike picks up plenty of speed even over rough, rocky, rooty ground. I feel well centred on the bike and find it hugely confidence inspiring. The geometry is bang up to date. The specification is so well thought out, even at this price point. The attention to detail is beyond expectations.

The Cannondale Trail 5 has a lightweight alloy frame and a Suntour coil-sprung fork with 100mm of travel for a fun ride through the woods on sandy roads. SAVE micro-suspension is also included in the bike, which absorbs slight vibrations that occur during a ride. Shimano hydraulic brakes and a 10-speed microSHIFT gearbox are two further features to consider. If you like exploring your town’s natural surroundings, Trail 5 is the bike for you. It’s an excellent climber that will bring you to the top of the hill despite the fact that your heart rate will rise.

This is my first bike of this kind. I am normally buying department store bikes and they have served me well. This time, I wanted something that was more fitted to me and will last me longer than a year or so. The reps at REI were fantastic to show me the proper way to size a bike and proper care and maintenance of a bike like this. It's been fun getting out and I crave riding now! Thanks!

Looking for a fun bike that you can ride even if you’re a complete beginner? Well! The Norco Fluid FS3 is the mountain bike that will make you want to ride for the rest of your life. With the SRAM SX Eagle 112 drivetrain, the Norco Fluid comes with a complimentary TranzX dropper post and 12 gears. The forks have 130mm of squish, while the rear suspension has 120mm of travel. The bike has 27.5″ wheels that provide excellent handling. The geometry of the bike is slacker than it has ever been. If you are sure in yourself and can operate a full suspension bike regardless of the terrain’s difficulty, this is the bike to have.
