Been using this for years, almost always in tap cold water-in my climate, that's usually quite cold-and ot still does an excellent job without adding nasty chemicals to my septic (I moved, and now municipal sewer) system. Also, the loose powder allows specific amounts for different loads, those tablets and pods way overuse, waste, their product.

I have been using this product for a couple of months. It works just as good as the name brand I used to use. Besides clean clothes, I have peace of mind knowing my family, my septic system, and my environment are safe from the usual harsh chemicals of my old detergent. This product is concentrated so it comes in much smaller, lighter weight, easy to handle bottles while washing the same amount of loads as my old brand. Seventh Generation is an excellent product and great value for the money.

... I love this detergent. I bought for the sensitive skin my kids have and because it's more "eco friendly" for the septic tank. It gets the clothes clean and I do not use softener in the wash but this actually has a softner incorporated in the mix and seems to work! This is a concentrate so you don't have to use as much as you think, and it doesn't have an overpowering scent after it's washed. Great buy!
