Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
In case you don't know ~
How long can coffee beans sit out?
It’s one thing to speak about how long a cup of freshly made coffee can be kept fresh. There is a great deal of discussion about this, but in general, you can leave coffee beans out for 2 weeks before you notice a difference in flavor, but they will continue to taste good for another 3 months after that.
What are the 4 types of coffee beans?
1. Arabica: A type of coffee grown in North America that has a sweeter, more delicate taste and is less acidic.
2. Robusta: The most widely grown type in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This bean’s name accurately describes its taste profile, which is robust and often harsh.
3. Liberica: It’s an uncommon find. It smells like fruit and flowers and has a “woody” flavor.
4. Excelsa: Mostly grown in Southeast Asia, has a tart, fruitier taste and is noted for showing attributes of both light and dark roast coffees.
How to choose coffee beans to buy?
Well drinking coffee is all about figuring out what you like and sticking to it. Knowing that Arabica and Robusta are the most popular and affordable types, consider how you want to consume your coffee – hot, iced, with or without creamer? If you’re a coffee enthusiast who prefers a simple fresh, hot, black coffee, a light Arabica bean would be an excellent option. The most important thing to remember is that it’s all about figuring out what works best for you, so experiment and have fun!
Where are coffee beans produced?
The Bean Belt, which is the region surrounding the equator between the Tropics of Capricorn and Cancer, is where the majority of the world’s coffee is grown. A large section of Central and South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia are included in this area. Coffee beans grow within a “cherry” that grows from these plants, which is then harvested.

I love this coffee. I was looking for an organic coffee that was shade grown which contains antioxidants. This has truly changed my desire for “Bucks” and I was diehard. Taste is smooth, dark and the tones of chocolate swirl on your pallet. There’s a new bean in town! Thanks Camano Island!!

I am extremely impressed with this coffee. I buy the whole bean and grind it before each cup. The flavor is strong and smooth, no bitterness at all! No only does it taste amazing, it packs a good caffeine punch! I highly recommend this coffee for all the purposes mentioned on the label, but also all software developers out there!

3.Kicking Horse Coffee
454 Horse Power Dark Roast
Natural Coffee Bean
The best roasts are deep, dark roasts. Kicking Horse Coffee’s 454 Horse Power blend is one of the favorite dark roasts that is ideal for espresso. It’s a blend of beans from South America, Central America, and Indonesia, and it’s got a lot of caffeine in it. Due to the obvious method, the beans are roasted, it also tastes great and has notes of chocolate and cinnamon. Plus, it’s all-natural!
I work nights and I drink coffee daily. I have tried many different brands and while they tasted ok I thought I should invest in some high quality coffee. Kicking Horse is now my go to coffee and after purchasing and trying it for the first time I don't see myself drinking anything else besides this. It's organic and tastes terrific. It tastes like real authentic good coffee not some processed fake stuff. If you are really into coffee buy some that is organic it's better for you and tastes amazing. Well worth the money and it's reasonably priced. I will defiantly buy it again and recommend it to others.

4.Death Wish Coffee
Ground Coffee Dark Roast
Ideal for Espresso
Take a look at the dark side Another has a really unusual name: Death Wish Coffee Company. Since this is said to be the world’s strongest coffee, you won’t want to drink much of it, making it ideal for espresso. This is made by the Death Wish Coffee Company from a blend of Robusto beans with a little Arabica thrown in for good measure. The end result is one of the darkest coffee blends offered, one that will get you up and going in the morning. It’s a little sour, but then again, isn’t that the point?
I'm sold. I bought this to keep me alert and focused at work. By my second cup I no longer needed a keyboard or mouse, as I was able to control my computer directly by thought. By the third cup I could hear colors and smell sounds. After my fourth cup, I decided to burn off some of the excess energy with a quick jog, and ended up finishing the Kessel Run in 11 parsecs flat! Seriously... Buy this stuff!

Smooth AND robust, this coffee (I bought the beans so I could grind them fresh) makes my entire office happy! The flavor is delicious. We had previously tired the Dark Roast by Koffee Kult and enjoyed it, so Thunderbolt was the "natural" progression. Thinking about subscribing!

6.Nicoletti Coffee
Espresso Roast Beans
Gently Roasted Coffee Bean
For espresso machines, Nicoletti provides whole beans that have been gently roasted. If you haven’t heard, light roasts make fantastic espresso as long as the acidity is kept low, and Nicoletti got it perfect with this one. Nicoletti recommends the 75% Arabica and 25% Robusta blend for espresso machines and Moka Pots since it is roasted in small batches. As long as you like what you’re drinking, you may brew it any way you want.
I am a bit of a coffee snob just not crazy snobbish. I for years have used Italian brands exclusively. Recently I decided to try Nicoletti's. First it is by far the freshest espresso beans I've ever gotten. Their product doesn't sit on a shelf in some warehouse for months after having been on a cargo ship for moths. Nicolettis tells you the Roast Date not a "use by date" and in my instance the coffee showed up within a week of roasting. That's super fresh. The Nicolleti Espresso is very smooth and flavorful. I would rate it very favorably with any Italian product I tried while traveling in Italy. And best of all it's made in the USA. I'm hooked.

The whole bean is where it's at worth every single penny fresh coffee every morning we make it on a moka pot turns out fabbbb. No rocks found either fyi.

This coffee is absolutely amazing!! We like our coffee strong and this does the job! Great flavor without the bitterness! It’s just a good as the expensive brands I was buying for a fraction of the price! It’s delicious black, my absolute favorite way to enjoy all the flavors. My hubby likes the cream and sugar but it truly is a great cup of coffee without it!

9.Eight O'Clock Coffee
The Original
Original Coffee Bean
If you like good coffee, you should give Eight O’clock The Original Whole Bean Coffee a try. This coffee is made with carefully picked premium beans that are roasted in small batches and packed correctly to maintain their unique taste. This coffee brand was founded around a century and a half ago, and it has been producing only the highest-quality coffee for over 150 years.
This is the best low priced coffee I’ve ever bought. It’s not Starbucks crack level acidity and not low quality bland tasting. Pandemic year poverty reduces my standards to whatever is cheap. I’ve tried several of brands in the same price range and this one is the winner. Bonus of the large size bag makes it one of the best “I’m not going to the store again for a while” items. The only thing I can count on these days is enjoying coffee in the morning. And this one I truly enjoy! This is my 3rd bag, and I’ll keep buying it forever.

The product has the USDA Organic label and is CCOF Certified, indicating that it is an ecologically responsible option. I have been called a coffee nerd most of my life. I love a great cup of coffee. I have had some of the most expensive coffees from around the world, BUT, who can afford "most expensive" every day. I would actually have come out of retirement to be able to afford that. That being said, Subtle Earth Organic is the best of both worlds. A VERY tasty cup without the high price. Bright, smooth, wonderful aftertaste, are only a few of it's attributes. If you love a great cup any time of the day, this is your everyday coffee.

Conclusion
That’s all there is to it. You should be able to find a bean that meets your taste on this list, whether you enjoy powerful, caffeine-packed brews or lighter, more complex medium roasts, or anything in between. We recommend purchasing whole beans so that you can grind them yourself and get the most out of your bean. To ensure that you pick the perfect bean for you, consider your machinery, the roast, and the origin of the product.
