10 Reviews: Best Yoga Towel (Sep 2021)
Starting with a towel which is great for hot yoga. It's perfect as a hygienic layer between you and the mat protects you from other people's bacteria or your own mat from wear and tear, and provides traction to slippy, sweaty hands and feet while also being highly durable and holding up well to frequent washing.
I was initially buying yogitoes and yogarat. Then I bought this Manduka just because it was on sale. I wasn't expecting much from it because it looked and felt slippery when I first took it out from the package. But when I first used it...oh my...I was in love. I do hot yoga and this one doesn't slip at all and it absorb sweat very well. And it feels much softer than the other 2 brands that I have. I bought 2 more and I also ordered the matching towels. I am using Manduka prolite mat.
The fleecy appearance of this microfibre towel may not inspire confidence at first glance, but in addition to providing a plush, comfortable surface on which to practice those tricky inversions without hurting knees or hips, this tie-dye towel includes a moisture-wicking protective layer to reduce the risk of harboring bacteria and – we won't lie – sweaty smells. It absorbs and dries quickly and has an attached elastic loop for easy packing and carrying, allowing it to be used wherever you want.
Does the job! Love these, ordered two. Does not slide, covers the whole mat, absorbs all the sweat dripping off me in my 110° yoga classes. Holds up nicely in the wash. I shopped around and these are the best value.

Following that is an excellent yoga towel with corner pockets. Simply insert the corners of your mat into the pockets, and your towel will remain taut, firmly in place, and will not bunch. The machine-washable microfiber towel is lightweight but 30% thicker than the average yoga towel, providing the ideal balance of grip and softness. It comes in five different colors, allows you to pick one as you desire.
Wonderful addition to my practice. I do not take hot yoga but rather attend a more traditional studio with both Pilates and vinyasa flow yoga. However, I still get warm and the hands slip in downward dog, pike or other forward bends. This towel has completely stopped that and given me the confidence to try more aggressive poses. It's nice to get both sizes, too. For Pilates, I only have to use the hand towel and it stops the slide. The large is best for a full yoga class. It washes well and maintains the grip.

If you're looking for simple yoga gear, this 2-in-1 mat and towel is a good option. It provides all of the grips and slips prevention you require in only one product. This lightweight towel eliminates the need to bring extra gear to class. Furthermore, the super absorbent mat prevents slipping, ensuring that your heated yoga sessions are not disrupted.
Got this for my partners birthday. I thought it was a towel. It is a mat with a built in towel. Feels amazing.

With hypoallergenic microfiber material, this towel will never let you got slippery hands once you use it to cover your mat while doing yoga. It is said to absorb twice as much as cotton, then you can imagine how great it is. Not only that, but it also made to stay put with corner pockets to help keep your mat in place through any and every pose.
Use almost daily. Beautiful print. Lays out flat even after rolled up. Comfy on the feet. Good size for my height. Easy to clean. Can get sticky at times with sweat or cleaning agent.
|SIZE||70" x 26"|
This towel's attractive pattern makes it worth considering. Furthermore, it has a waffle grip to ensure stability during all of your favorite poses. It's made of 100 percent recycled materials and has a reversible pattern, so you get two for the price of one.
Pretty impressed with how well this towel holds onto my mat during sweaty hot yoga and makes me feel good because it has a neat pattern

Love these towels they really grip and prevent you from slipping.

It's a yoga hybrid towel with a built-in microfiber layer on top, so you'll have one less thing to carry to class and your yoga bag will be less cluttered. It's machine washable, but it took a while to dry. This towel, which comes with a carrying strap, is easy to transport wherever you go to yoga class.
Looks natural/sustainable and very very cute!
|SIZE||24.65" x 4.09" x 3.31"|
If you don't like the feel of microfiber, a cotton yoga rug is a great alternative. It's not a towel, but it serves the same purpose: to keep your grip during a particularly sweaty session. It is handcrafted in India by local artisans, which is why it has an attractive Indian pattern.
Great yoga rug. Much better texture than the regular commonly used mats. Slips on hard wood, but I use the regular mat under it. I think it will last longer too. I use it every day. It's a bit more narrow than advertised. Shrunk slightly on first wash. The length is still longer than the one I use under it though.

Finally, but not least. A hot yoga towel is ideal for bringing to your yoga class. This towel combines a grippy microfiber surface, but don't worry, it won't itch. This towel is worth considering for its durability since it has a web silicone backing to prevent bunching.
Admittedly, this is the only yoga towel I have ever tried. But, that's because it's perfect! The sticky bottom is what sets this towel apart. It does not slide around at all. No need to "water" your towel before class. The top is a waffle-type texture which offers nice grip. I have machine washed and dried dozens of times, no issues. The tag can be removed easily with a stitch remover without damaging the towel or hem. I also love the color, I got the light blue and it looks just like the picture.
