Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Let's dive into the questions!
What is the difference between a headphone and a headsets?
Headphones and headsets are basically two devices that are both used for speakers. The basic difference lies in the microphone. If a headphone is designed using two simple speakers that are attached to a band, the headset is the same, except that it has a microphone attached to it that lets you talk. Don’t the headphones have a mic? Well, it has an integrated mic that is not attached or visible, and mostly used for listening to audio files.
Which is best for me: a headphone or a headset?
First things first, the answer depends on your purpose. If you need a device mainly for listening to music or other sounding experiences, a headphone will make a perfect pick. Whereas, if you require clarity in talking, a headset is a great deal.
Should I get a wireless or wired headphone?
Wireless headphones are great if you have high mobility and don’t want to deal with tangled cables that often get stuck and interfere with your movements. That’s why most people wear this when exercising, jogging, on public transport, or playing games without having to sit close to the TV. Meanwhile, the wired one is ideal for those who work for a longer duration, such as desktop users, DJs, or music mixing artists. That way they can focus on working with good clarity without worrying about low battery. Which one is best for you? It’s on you.
How to choose the best headphones for me?
With countless options on the market, to make your search easier, you have to narrow it down first by determining what type you need: in-ears, on-ears, or over-ears. After that, ask yourself: do you want wireless or wired? Then you can focus on features such as sensitivity (choose one that has around 110 dB/mW; don’t pick anything lower than 85 dB/mW), impedance (the standard is 16 Ohms; the lower, the better), and frequency response (generally 20 Hz-20000 Hz).

We got these on Black Friday which made them an excellent value. Overall, these headphones are very comfortable and above average from a sound quality standpoint. There are many cheaper options out there, many of which I have tried, but I think that these are really a step up. The other great thing about these was the iphone bluetooth integration which makes pairing very easy.

Bowers & Wilkins
PI3 in Ear Wireless Headphones
Looks different with neckband
This one looks different from its neckband. Bowers & Wilkins’ in-ear headphones give you a stylish and sporty look. Offering 8 hours of battery life and a decent mic, this attractive headphone makes your voice sound as clear as your favorite tunes. For under $150, getting the best headphones with a mic is a godsend. Whether you use it to accompany your jog or the Zoom class, you’ll never regret it.
I work from home now and these completely block out the chaos of having five elementary school-aged kids stuck at home with me due to the pandemic (supervised by my mother-in-law while I work, don't worry). I put these on and I don't hear ANYTHING except my Zoom meeting. I keep them in just to plug my ears to the chaos while I'm not on Zoom meetings.

Audio Technica
ATHM50XBT
Top quality
In the next row, there is the Audio-Technica ATHM50XBT which has swivels cups in a 90Ā° position so one can easily use it for one ear only. Its incredible delivery makes it one of the favorite products for sound professionals, so you don’t need to doubt its quality. Let’s also appreciate the over-ear design for excellent sound isolation in loud environments. In addition, your package comes with a USB charging cable and carrying pouch.
Love these headphones! They last 40hrs, have great natural sound reproduction, have a port to convert to wired sound and are a great feeling over the ear pair of headphones. Noise cancelling is passive as a result of being over the ears, but they work great for knocking out random office chatter in my open office environment. Highly recommend these. I like them better than my Bose AE2W headphones...

Beats
Solo Pro Wireless Headphones
Stunning design
Yeah, we all can agree that Beats always looks great with the shapes and colors of its choice. The Solo Pro is available in a total of six lovely colors: black, gray, ivory, dark blue, light blue, and red. As for battery life, they can give you 22 hours of listening time. Most importantly, the quick charging feature gets you about three hours of constant playback after just 10 minutes on the charger.
First use: Went running on the treadmill for 3 miles. It stayed on great. I even sprinted as fast as I could several times. This is my first Beats headset. I got lucky and bought it when it was on sale for 179$. Brand new. Only had 3 colors available but it was a damn good deal. If you can find them for under 200$ Iād say they are worth it.. again this is after first use though. I used them hard though. Lol.

Jabra
Elite 85h
Checks all the boxes
At number seven, we have Jabra Elite 85h which almost checks all the boxes so it must be on your shortlist. Whenever this smart device detects any background noise, it will turn on the active noise cancellation automatically. As you wish, it is compatible with Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant; just speak to get the jobs done. Lastly, if the battery does give out, you can always just plug in an audio cable so you’re not stuck without music.
The Jabra Elite 45h is the best choice for those who need an affordable headphones able to be connected to two devices at the same time like laptop and mobile phone. Call quality is one of the best, the other end hears clear and loud. While wearing the Jabra Elite 45h you still hear a bit the surroundings, which in my opinion is preferred. I highly recommend this headphones. Carlos Astudillo Miami

Bose
SoundLink Around Ear Wireless Headphones II
Seamless switching
The Bose SoundLink II is another superior wireless headphone that promotes deep, immersive sound. The wireless range is capable of reaching up to 30 feet, so you can walk around the house without being disconnected. The SoundLink claims to be lighter and more comfortable than comparable wireless headphones in its class. Furthermore, you can switch seamlessly between two Bluetooth devices at a time.
Love these headphones!! Music is clear and crisp. Base is very good! They do not bleed out. Battery life is exceptional. Note: I did not want to pay over $100. I tried several headphones under and over $100 and was very disappointed for various reasons. I splurged and bought Bose, which I should have done in the first place. "I knew better", but I was trying to be cheap. Never again will I waste time. I will purchase Bose, and will be done with it!!! :)

Sony
WH-1000XM4
Best overall
The Sony WH-1000XM4 is one of the most popular products when it comes to advanced headphones. The over-ear design blocking out the outside world, makes you focus on all your activities. The advanced features are hard to beat: touch sensor control, voice assistant, answer phone calls, and volume control. The speak-to-chat technology will automatically lower your music volume when you start speaking and pause when you take them off. Wow!
Buy these. You wonāt regret it. Especially if you are in zoom calls as much as I am. I have zero complaints about these headphones and too many great things to list here. Watch MKBHDās review of these on YouTube.
