Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
In case you don't know...
Why do welders wear helmets?
One of the most crucial items of personal protective equipment that a welder must-have is a welding helmet, sometimes known as a "hood." A good helmet will protect your eyes and skin not just from strong sparks, but also from the arc's potentially vision-damaging UV and infrared radiation.
How dark should a welding helmet be?
To avoid flash burn on your eyes, use a welding lens that is between a shade 10 and a shade 13. The darker the shade, the higher the number. However, the darker the shade you need to avoid burning your eyes, the higher the amperage you're using.
What shade level should I look for?
The amount of light that passes through your shade is determined by the shade level, which is an important characteristic to consider. If you're a beginner, you should aim for a score of 9 to 13.
Should I get a solar powered or battery powered welding helmet?
It's entirely up to you whether you purchase a solar-powered or battery-powered welding helmet. However, keep in mind that the majority of high-end welding helmets will be solar-powered. If you're planning to get a battery-powered welding helmet, be sure it has decent ratings because it could be low-quality or cheap.

Very nice, very responsive on the auto darkening I like that it has a grinding setting and a cutting setting. The head gear raps around my head nicely and very comfortable.

Absolutely the best helmet I've ever owned or tried and I've pretty much tried all the high dollar helmets. There is absolutely nothing to dislike. The optics have to be experienced to be believed. I TIG weld delicate parts and I've never had it so good! The helmet is comfortable and featherweight. I run it on auto and it's as simple as that. ...
|SHADES||4 and 12|
|POWER SOURCE||2 CR2 batteries required. (included)|
It's an auto-darkening helmet with a huge viewing area that's reasonably priced. At 32.5 oz, it's a little lighter, but it's still quite heavy. It's a great option for beginners, and we can't say enough positive things about it. The comfort and durability could be better, but for the money, it's a nice helmet.
Awesome item very light and comeforble had add a leather bib for added protection. Still light with the leather added I'm very happy with the welding helmet and the shipping speed was fast 3 day's the max.

Another auto-darkening welding helmet with lovely angel colors is available. As a result, welders can adapt to a variety of work settings. It has the largest viewing panes, allowing you to easily glance at your work. You may use it for TIG welding, MIG welding, arc welding, and so much more, and then see how well it performs.
Has a good adjustable head band. Plenty comfortable. Lens may be just a tad too dark when not welding. That's fine with me. Some folks may be used to a clear lens. I really like this hood. Looks good and feels good.
|SHADES||9 to 13|
|VIEW AREA||3.94" x 2.36"|
|POWER SOURCE||2 Lithium ion batteries required. (included)|
The stylish welding helmet features a cutting-edge shell design and a color touch screen control panel. This revolutionary hood is made of high-impact resistance nylon. It's a really light helmet (1.4 lbs) with a comfortable headband that will undoubtedly elevate your performance.
I wanna do 4 but it truly deserves 5 stars this hood is amazing I truly love the true color and the clarity it offers. It feels like god himself is palming your head like Jordan about to make a free throw dunk! My only downfall is the lease being somewhat of a fish eye lens it gets a little distorted when moving your head during a weld. It is very minimal you just have to adjust to it and understand whata going on. All in all this hood is the tits!!!!

It will revert to its normal state as soon as the welding stops. Despite the fact that welding is a dangerous and difficult job, wearing this helmet will keep you safe and comfortable, and it fits well on the head.
This helmet is a little pricey, but I could never go back to my old helmet, it has a huge viewing window and is easy to see your project when not striking an arc! Highly recommended! Great product, I dont even know how it could be improved to be honest and I am an aluminum fabricator for a living, I can wear this helmet for hours on end at work without a problem, very comfortable. I bought 1 for work and had to buy 1 for home after using it for 2 years, only changed the battery once in that 2 year period with 5 days a week use.

I love my helmet. I'm new to welding and wanted to make sure my helmet choice would not be the weak link in learning to weld. I did a lot of research and this thing is great... lots of adjustments, light weight, and the option to make payments made it possible to gets great helmet reasonably over time. I wouldn't hesitate to get another as long as it proves to last several years.

Continue to a helmet with a high-quality helmet shell that is curved to reduce heat and fogging while also improving fume deflection. Not only that, but it also came with fantastic headgear that can be adjusted for maximum performance and comfort. The headgear's slider adjusts in a variety of ways, making it incredibly versatile in terms of the welder's goals.
My wife bought this helmet for me when I started a new welding project and complained that I could not see out of my old, hobby-type helmet well enough to make a good weld. In the new project, the look of the weld makes a difference. With the new Auto-darkening helmet, I can make a great weld - an no grinding afterward! Love it!
