Sensors deliberately positioned in the route of a suspected leak are not used by the Phyn Plus. The device is instead mounted on the main water line entering your house, near the shut-off valve (professional installation is suggested), and it functions by sensing variations in water pressure hundreds of times per minute. It learns where water is consumed (with your aid). When a leak is detected, the Phyn Plus can notify you and switch off the water supply if you are not at home.

Well worth the money. Detected a small leak the first week I had the product in use, even before it was fully trained. Awesome investment and added piece of mind.

The Fibaro is tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand and tall enough to fit beneath appliances and in tight locations where leaks might occur. Three telescopic gold-plated feet keep it in place even on an uneven surface (imagine grout between tiles), and if the feet become wet, an alarm and notifications go off. In the case of overheating, fire, or freezing circumstances, a temperature sensor will alert you if the temperature rises or falls.

I have this set up with an automatic cut off valve. This sensor triggers an alarm and will turn on the lights in the bedroom and living room when it senses water. Having both was the most cost efficient solution. There are all in ones that would be a bit simpler but they cost a lot more. This sensor works perfectly in tandem with the valve cut off switch.

Flo by Moen detects leaks by monitoring fluctuations in your home’s water pressure. A single device is put near the shut-off valve on the main water line. A warning is delivered to your phone through WiFi when a decrease in pressure is noticed. You can silence the alarm before it cuts off the water supply if you know what caused the pressure change. It also keeps track of the temperature so you’ll know if there’s a risk of freezing.

The products phone app is very easy to use, and provides much more data than I ever expected (including water pressure values). Nothing has been glitchy or problematic....very easy install for our local plumber with about 1.5 hours of labor due to our unique installation.

This little battery-powered sensor connects with a SmartThings hub or other compatible device that has SmartThings hub capabilities and may be installed in any location where a leak might occur. If a water leak or a temperature decrease or a spike is detected, an alert is sent to your phone. The SmartThings app may be programmed to cut off an integrated appliance if a leak is detected, avoiding additional damage.

Works well. Warned us about the AC condensate pan in the attic which was about to overflow due to clogged drain.

Best money ever spent. My water heater sprung a leak next to a wood floor. The detector immediately saw the leak, alerted me and avoided thousands of floor damage. Thank you Honeywell! As far as a product, it never looses connectivity.

It differs from any other water leak sensor in that it can communicate with a smartphone app. With lightning-fast reaction times and configurable alert timings, you may set the audio siren to go off after 20 minutes or the disconnection notice to go out after 10 minutes, depending on your needs and preferences. It also has the capability of notifying several phone numbers and email addresses in the event of an emergency, as well as sending phone call notifications (for a fee).
