Despite the fact that this list is chock-full of low-cost options, this top-rated waffle maker is the least expensive on the list. (Yes, the Disney waffle maker below is less expensive.  It lacks some of the more advanced tools for indicating when it’s ready, and the temperature gauge can be finicky, but it’s well worth it once you get past the learning curve. With the Mickey shape, this one would make your kids very happy!

I was looking for a waffle maker that made actual waffles, and didn't have them come out 'pancakey'. This product did just that. The nonstick surface makes cleanup super simple. Overall, exceeded my expectations.
