If you want a great survival knife and don’t want to get in trouble with the law, the TDI from KA-BAR is your best bet. It has a 2.31″ AUS 8a STAINLESS STEEL drop point blade, which is less than 2.5″ so I’m sure it’s legal in all states, but always check your local laws before buying a knife. The blade has great corrosion resistance, great wear resistance, and good edge retention. Therefore, the knife fits well in your hand and is easy to carry and hide because it has a finger choil.

It is recommended to use this knife for people looking for a small fixed knife for EDC, but it’s also great for survival, especially if you’re looking for a very small blade, it has a 1.9″ 5CR15MOV Stainless Steel Drop point blade, it has wonderful corrosion resistance, great wear resistance, and good edge retention, it has a G10 handle which provides further strength and resistance to the knife. Moreover, the knife blade is stained finish with a pretty sight.

The bush type of fixed blade is highly suggested for survival purposes, and this knife has one. Moreover, a good survival knife should have excellent sharpening capabilities, corrosion resistance, and edge retention despite its small size. Further testing confirms that it will have enough strength, good rust resistance, and edge capabilities.

"If you are looking for a good basic woods tool that has low cost and good value, here you are. These knives are great for starter knives for newbies and kids, and for wampum knives to give away should circumstances call for it. The steel is typical Chinese crap, but it is not bad .... it will do the job. If the blade gets lost or stolen, there will not be any tears. I bought mine at the Browning factory store in Ogden UT for $30 each, and I bought a bunch of them and am well pleased."
