Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
In case you wanna know...
Which is better: an instant read or a leave-in thermometer?
Depends on what you cook. A leave-in thermometer is inserted into your meat before cooking and remains there during the grilling or roasting process, as opposed to an instant-read thermometer, which gives you the temperature of your food practically immediately. Since you don’t want to stand there waiting for a dial to move, especially if it means allowing heat to escape from your grill or oven, a quick read thermometer is perfect for grilling.
How to clean a food thermometer?
Most home cooks should simply wash a food thermometer in hot, soapy water to sanitize it. If you’re tailgating or camping and don’t have access to hot water, cleaning it with a clean alcohol swab will suffice. Food thermometers should be cleaned between uses with individual alcohol wipes or with a clean, wiping cloth from your sanitizer bucket.
What are the types of food thermometers?
1. Oven-safe dial thermometers can be left in place while the meal cooks. Temperature measurements take one to two minutes.
2. Instant-read thermometers should not be kept in food while it is cooking. Instead, use it to test food towards the end of the cooking process.
3. Thermometer-fork combination thermometers are useful for grilling and can read food temperatures in two to ten seconds.
4. Pop-up thermometers and disposable temperature indicators are intended for single use only.
How to use a food thermometer?
1. Put it to the test. To test the accuracy of your food thermometer, use either cold water or hot water.
2. Calibrate it. To guarantee an accurate reading, follow the instructions on how to adjust the thermometer as needed.
3. Put it in the right place. It is critical to obtain an accurate reading by placing the device correctly.
4. Don’t rush it. Wait for the time suggested for your kind of thermometer.

Enzoo
Meat Thermometer
Dedicated remote
The Enzoo thermometer has a 500-foot range, allowing you to move around your home and yard without losing signal no matter how large your space is. The connection is stronger than Bluetooth or WiFi since the remote is also directly connected to the transmitter. Having a dedicated remote is also convenient since it requires less setup, eliminates the need to go into an app, and removes the need to have your smartphone nearby when cooking.
After the Thanksgiving turkey was an hour late due to raw meat, I purchased this smart meat thermometer. I can’t believe I have been cooking for 20 years with a basic cheap meat thermometer. This smart thermometer has already saved my meat twice in the two weeks I have owned it! It’s easy to use (I didn’t even need the instructions) and easy to clean. Everybody that cooks meat needs one of these!

This thermometer is great! I used it today to cook a brisket. I put one probe in the meat and the other in the smoker. Set the alarm to go off at 160 degrees and it worked perfectly. I love having the receiver in the house while it cooks outside. Great product.

Grilleye
Smart Bluetooth Thermometer
For serious grillers
This is a serious griller’s meat probe. Grilleye is for you if you have a particular preference for steaks. With the ability to run up to six probes at once, it’s also ideal for individuals who want to cook a lot at the same time. Of course, it’s not the cheapest option, but its app is another excellent attempt, and if you need the flexibility of that many probes, it’s a terrific option.
"GrillEye" Smart Bluetooth Grilling Thermometer is indeed a marvel. It - seems to - measure the temperature of the meat and "report back" to the cook, even while in the house. The "GrillEye" is easy to use, allowing 6 different readings in different parts of the meat. Very good devise.

Weber
iGrill 3 (7204)
For Weber barbecue
Weber’s iGrill technology is in its third generation and is ideal in a very specific setup – if you have a Weber barbecue. That means it won’t suit the majority of people’s needs, but if you have one of its iconic outdoor barbies, you’re the one that can completely change how you use it. It monitors everything about your grill, including fuel levels, and a smart proximity system will turn it on when you approach it with your connected smartphone.

This means no cables, no big transmitters, and a lot cleaner kitchen. Furthermore, the probe is outfitted with two sensors for a more precise readout. The Meater is controlled and monitored through your smartphone, but it can also be connected via WiFi or Bluetooth.
This is by far one of the best smart devices I’ve ever used. The hardware and software are outstanding. If you have a rotisserie MEATER is an absolute must have.

The MeatStick
X Set
Super versatile
You definitely want your thermometer to work well on the grill, but the MeatStick is capable of much more. It can be used with a rotisserie since it is completely wireless, and it can be used within sous vide bag because it is waterproof. Because of the high threshold, it can not only withstand oven and grill temperatures but can also be used in a deep fryer. And when the job is done, it’s dishwasher safe, so it’s ready for the next task.
Used the MeatStick for steak in a cast iron pan and for oven roasted corned beef. Great results. Meats were perfectly cooked as desired. The set up was easy and I really like the charger/base being an extender. Bought a unit for my sister's family for Christmas and they love it as well.
