The Black Diamond Enforcer can handle the never-ending buffet of steep ice in the Canadian Rockies, as well as the brutal sub-zero cold. The Enforcer provides complete warmth and weather protection by combining a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX insert with 170-gram PrimaLoft Gold insulation on the back of the hand and a fixed 190-gram fleece lining. The Enforcer’s fingers include a 4-way stretch shell that keeps them nimble and supple when climbing, and the TPU knuckle patch protects them from abrasion. For further protection, a low-profile Hypalon wrist strap with a hook-and-loop fastening was added, and the long cuff cinches down to keep spindrift out.

A touch screen-compatible detachable liner, antislip silicone pads on the liner, a removable leash, pull-on loop, and a glove clip are all included in the design. On a practical level, the device has a ladder lock wrist cinch, a super cinch gauntlet, and a pre-curved design. I wear these while walking our Malamute around northern Michigan. So they have kept my hands comfortable but the temps have only dropped to +8 so I can't say how they will feel sub-zero

Fits as it should. Warm and waterproof, I would recommend. The thumb squeegee is a must.

The Guide glove from Black Diamond is known among extreme skiers for its exceptional warmth and durability. It’s towards the top of our list in terms of hand protection, and unlike the Hestra Helis, it’s entirely waterproof thanks to a Gore-Tex lining. Black Diamond employs both PrimaLoft synthetic and thick boiled wool in the detachable lining for insulation within its very robust outer. The Guide is difficult to beat if your hands are always chilly or if you ski in sub-zero temperatures.

Well made, comfy and warm gloves for those cold (but not super cold) days of winter. I've worn them hiking, camping, and skiing when it's not bitter cold. Still not sure if I want to use them for ice climbing/rope work/hard use since the leather is a lighter duty weight. Very happy with this purchase. Nice gloves!

The Burton Gore-Tex is a good option for resort skiers who don’t want to spend a lot of money on gloves. This glove offers everything you need to be dry and comfortable: it’s warm (with a zipped pocket for putting in a hand warmer), it’s sturdy, and it features a strap around the back of the hand for altering the fit. Burton also includes detachable thin liners that may be used as hiking or jogging gloves during the shoulder seasons.

The North Face’s Montana Mittens are an affordable option to remain warm in mild weather. These surprisingly dexterous waterproof mittens have a lightweight shell that is rather flexible and grips objects like zipper pull or boot buckles quite effectively. With its gauntlet cuff and ladder lock buckle across the back of the hand, it’s also simple to dial in the fit and keep the cold out. The North Face replaced the original Gore-Tex lining with their less-proven in-house Futurelight insert for last winter, but early signs are that it will still provide enough waterproofing.

They are durable and clearly good quality. So far I have warned them under the worst conditions operating my snow blower.( snow, sleet and ice rain) I must admit the outside of the mittens got real wet but my hands remained dry. I am very pleased with this purchase.

The Flylow Ridge are excellent resort and backcountry gloves for those on a budget, and they are generally extremely sturdy and breathable. The absence of a waterproof membrane may be a concern in locations with continuously wet snow (you’ll want to reapply the coating if you see the gloves beginning to absorb moisture). However, given the price, they are minor gripes. If you’re a leather work glove skeptic, don’t dismiss it until you’ve tried it.

Great Gloves, leather and built are good quality. I purchased the Tan colored ones and really like the color and looking forward to them aging and slightly changing color. I mainly use them for driving and light snow use, but if you are looking for something to take up to the mountain and ski or snowboard with, I would look at another pair that would be warmer.

The Gordini GTX Storm Trooper II is a winner if you only ski a few times a year or don’t want to squander your ski gear cash on gloves. Although this glove lacks the superior shell fabric of our top selection, it is robust, waterproof, and simply works. Furthermore, given the $70 price, warmth and comfort are quite good—it’s step down from the Hestra Heli and Black Diamond Guide, but the difference isn’t significant and should be plenty for most days on the hill.

Best ski gloves I have had! Very well made. Melted a pair on a fire place and had to buy new ones ASAP because they are awesome. Well worth the money.
