A day on the slopes can quickly become unbearable if your fingers are constantly cold, which is why high-quality gloves are essential. They’re necessary for keeping your hands warm, dry, and safe from the elements like snow and wind. Female-specific gloves are meant to fit better on smaller hands and wrists, in addition to having different colors and designs. However, the same rules apply in terms of quality as with any other skiing glove: it must be waterproof, warm, and pleasant to wear. Thus, our list of the Best Ski Gloves for Women can assist you in selecting the appropriate gloves to wear.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

In case you don't know~

Are leather gloves better than other gloves?

Leather is a long-lasting material that has been treated to endure wear and tear as well as the elements. Thus, we can say that a pair of leather gloves or mittens will nearly always outlast a pair of synthetic gloves or mittens.

How should a ski glove fit?

A ski glove should fit firmly around your whole hand, with just enough room at the ends of your fingers to prevent your fingertips from rubbing against the glove’s end. The glove’s cuff should also be long enough to cover your full wrist.

Should gloves be tight or loose?

It’s worth mentioning that gloves should fit snugly at first, but can expand to suit the hand within reason. Unfortunately, a glove that is too large can’t be avoided! Thus, you need to make sure what size of gloves you need, you can use a tape measure to quickly determine your hand size at home.

Should ski gloves be waterproof?

Ski gloves should be waterproof since it is inevitable to come into contact with the snow when skiing. Most snowsports gloves and mittens include a waterproof, breathable membrane that keeps moisture out while allowing perspiration to escape. One thing you need to remember; windproof gloves are also waterproof gloves.

Our opinion:

These waterproof, breathable, insulated ski gloves with the thermal-reflective finish will round out your gear. It has pre-curved fingers that make it easier to hold your poles. With one hand, a shock cord on the gauntlet may be tightened swiftly. The long gauntlet and nose wipe will also come in helpful on really cold, non-mountain days.

Our opinion:

The plethora of features available distinguishes the North Face Montana women ski glove from the competition. Radiametric Articulation promotes blood flow in your fingers, a fourchette finger box keeps your fingertips warm, and Ladder lock wrist cinches retain the warmth within the glove. The North Face Montana’s shell is comprised of two layers of DryVent nylon with a Gore-Tex liner below. It’s lined with a luxurious high-pile fleece inner and insulated with 250g Heatseeker material.

Promising review:

These get the job done. Inside they are soft and warm. Outside they are waterproof. The extra long length slides into your sleeve so no exposure to the elements when active.

The Terra Hiker women skiing gloves include zippered compartments on the back of the hand, which is a unique feature. These are great for storing keys, cash, or even hand warmer packs if you need a little more warmth. These insulated gloves’ 320D Taslan polyester shell is one of the most robust on the market, so you won’t have to worry about ruining them on the slopes. Our opinion:

Kineed’s women’s snow gloves are very light, flexible, and warm. They provide exceptional wind and water protection, so you’ll be ready for any winter activity. As you can see, this is a gauntlet-style ski glove with a double cuff to keep snow and wind out of your hands and sleeves. Your hands are protected by a woven polyester shell and a TPU waterproof insert, while they are kept warm by a mix of 3M Thinsulate and cotton. The features include a warm and comfy fleece inside, as well as an anti-slip palm with rubber dots.

All-Around Wind and Water Protection

Our opinion:

The MCTi are one of the finest gloves to have for all-around wind and water protection. They also include conductive material on three fingers (thumb, pointer, and middle) so you can use your phone without putting them off. MCTi gloves are built of high-quality materials despite their low price. The PU leather palm gives a solid grip and abrasion resistance, while the polyester shell resists scuffs and rips nicely. The lining, on the other hand, is comprised of a soft knitted polyester that feels fantastic even after a long day on the slopes.

Promising review:

I had leather insulated gloves on and my fingers froze right away. Put these on, finger stayed warm stayed dry they stayed tight around the wrist, amazing!

Gore-Tex Gloves

Outstanding With Touchscreen Device

price from
$58.06
Our opinion:

This pair of gloves stands out since they are meant to be used with a touchscreen device. As a result, you may use your phone while wearing the glove. It is insulated with Thermacore to keep you warm even on the coldest of days. They’re waterproof, windproof, and breathable, just like the rest of the gloves we’ve looked at. They also include a detachable 4-way stretch Dryride Thermex lining that expands significantly over the course of 2 to 4 days. Going performing other hobbies or when out in the cold, you may just wear the liner.

Promising review:

Let me start by saying these burton gloves hold up to the name. They are very warm and comfortable. True to fit and the inner liner is great also. My 16 year old daughter used to get cold hands until I bought these.

Pigskin Leather Gloves

price from
$32.73
Our opinion:

For guides and budget-conscious skiers, the Kinco Pigskin is a must-have. This is a low-cost ski glove that has been a long-time favorite because of its exceptional value. For active days on the mountain, the leather breathes nicely while yet providing enough warmth. You may add a tiny liner to increase the warmth because of the larger fit. Check out the all-leather pigskin Kinco brand gloves if you’re wanting to spend the very least on a pair of gloves.

Promising review:

These gloves are just right for 25 to 40 degree active use. Dexterity is good and durability is fantastic. Some of my ski patrol buddies regularly use them on duty, but they are not warm enough for me. I use them mostly for outside work, like changing over to my snow tires and splitting wood. And Kinco is a super family-owned company in Portland, OR.

DAKINE
Camino Glove

Great Maneuverability

price from
$49.95
Our opinion:

The Dakine Camino ski glove is a great deal. It has a nylon shell and a leather palm, and the insulation is deliberately placed towards the back of the hand for maneuverability. It also has a thin synthetic inner for further warmth on really cold days. The slimmer palm structure allows for more airflow, making it ideal for backcountry touring and resort usage. We often sought for this glove while looking for a glove to wear in the warmer winter months. You can’t go wrong with the pricing, either.

Promising review:

These gloves come with a really amazing liner that works with touch screens. I felt like the glove was a bit of a tight fit to get it over the liner but they are warm and have a lanyard on each glove to keep them attached to your wrist. I definitely recommend. Also the pattern is soooo cute

Our opinion:

For its adaptability, warmth, and dexterity, the Arc’teryx Fission SV Glove is our favorite glove. The PrimaLoft Gold and Silver insulation in the single-glove design delivers exceptional breathability and warmth for both the backcountry and the resort. When you put your hand inside, it feels silky smooth, and the warmth is similar to the softest down. The shell is entirely waterproof and very robust, as well as dexterous.

Promising review:

Short of mittens, this glove is the warmest in the line up. It’s great for the coldest of days. Note that your fingers can still get cold wearing them, as no glove is cold foolproof.
