The consistency is similar to gel, and while using it does not seem particularly soothing—the lather is fine, but nothing special—there is nothing particularly noteworthy about it. The desired effect, however, is for the skin to feel much less dry and irritated after usage of the product. During the colder months, you should consider using this body wash that does not contain soap.
