This is a newer model than the previous Sony card, and it is now much more commonly accessible in retailers. It’s also fast in the sorts of reading and writing that matter for recording video and taking burst and high-resolution photographs, much like the other card. It has a sequential write speed of 299MB/s and a sequential read speed of 300MB/s. Furthermore, this card is dustproof and waterproof, preventing dust from entering the card. Sony Tough SD Cards can also endure 72 hours in 15 feet of water, according to Sony internal tests.

This card was purchased for my new mirrorless camera and is primarily a backup/overflow memory card. There are many cheaper SD cards out there but none received as much praise as this one.

I bought these micro-SD cards as storage medium for a data-recorder. They worked reliably so far.

I have used Prograde digital cards for awhile now and love them. Capacity is good for my use and I’ve never had corrupted files utilising them. I’ve had no issues with buffering as well.

The M Series now includes Secure Digital memory cards, extending Sony’s memory card choices. This UHS-II card supports read rates of up to 260MB/s thanks to the newest SD 4.0 standard. According to Sony, write rates are up to 100MB/s. Although the write speed is UHS-I, the card’s compatibility with UHS-II enables for high-speed transfers from the card to a computer when using a UHS-II card reader. The card works with both UHS-I and normal SD devices, however at a slower speed (UHS-I speeds are restricted to 104MB/s and below).

I do a lot of 4K videography and I need dependable hi speed read and write video cards and Sony cards have always come through for me
