Are expensive rangefinders worth it?
Rule number one - price is in line with the amount of profit earned (although it does not apply to everything). Often, hefty price tag products come with heavy features as the jack of all trades. Moreover, it undeniably presents excellent readings.
Why rangefinders are useful?
In short, because it delivers vision clarity with its superb optics lenses. Especially when you are doing surveillance of your prey when hunting. It helps calculate the distance, the position you should know, as well as to see a wider area beyond the horizon.
How a rangefinder works?
It works like a magnifier, but with savvy features. They help to see far away distance with immense detail (for some, not all tho).
10 Reviews: Best Rangefinder Under $200 (Apr 2021)
The vibrant construction for fun playing in the wilderness. The Gooddero rangefinder is equipped with slope adjustment. The laser technology runs fast for short notice about your surroundings. In addition, the robust construction ensures the long haul of use.
Although we've not used it for golf yet, this device appears easy to use. We have focused it on distant trees just to see how far away they are. Can't wait to get out and use it for it's intended purpose. If we find any issues, I will rewrite this review, but otherwise, we are very pleased with it.

The 900 yards measurements with 7x magnification mode. The TACKLIFE laser rangefinder is assembled with a durable shell, crystal clear optics lenses, also water-resistant body. Not only that, but this also comes with a rechargeable battery for a sustainable lifestyle.
I bought this range finder to gauge distance. I don't golf, but go Target shooting often but can never really know how far exactly the Target I'm shooting. So I wanted a decently priced range finder and this fits my needs. I can setup my steel targets and now I can know exactly how far they are. Especially when it comes to targets over 100 yards. Easy to use and I like that it comes with a rechargable battery.
|Dimension||4.6 x 3.1 x 1.8 in (package)|
The AOFAR rangefinder is equipped with a lens that can penetrate a distance of up to 500 yards. This is also accompanied by a flag-lock with pulse function with an anti-slip design. In addition, the waterproof and dustproof material makes it suitable to survive in all weather conditions.
Owned the G2 previously. This model is 1/3 smaller and brings back readings very quickly. It's very ergonomical and the carry case has a belt clip. So, the size makes it very easy to carry with you on the course.
|Dimension||5.9 x 4.7 x 2.8 in (package)|
The laser rangefinder for pleasant birdwatching or sightseeing in the wild. This Gogogo rangefinder built-in 6x magnification system, that reaches up to 1200 yards. What's next, the three scanning modes are very much beneficial for versatile use.
I was using few rangefinders for both golfing and hunting, especially for hunting. And I bought more than $200 rangefinder, also tried some rangefinders under $100. It’s might be the best rangefinder under $100. I even can’t figure out the differences between this one and those $200s. At this price, you really can’t beat the value.
|Dimension||5.2 x 4.2 x 1.9 in (package)|
The on-budget rangefinder without sacrificing the quality. This one delivers high-precision distance reading - thanks to its HD display and slope measurement feature. Further, it also comes with flag-locking technology to help you fire accurately.
For the price it does the job well. You can zoom in on the flag and with slope technology which helps a lot. Definitely a great buy.
|Dimension||5.25 x 4 x 2.75 in (package)|
The vastness distance measurement for this beautiful rangefinder is 1000 yards. And since it features LOS or Line of Sight technology, this one greatly beneficial for bow hunters. Additionally, it is waterproof, dustproof, and delivers vision clarity for convenient seeing.
This is the first rangefinder I've ever used that actually can range the distance it claims. Others from Bushnell, Halo, and more are often listed as "1000 yards", but struggle to get more than half that. I can routinely hit things at 6 and 7 hundred yards with this, and I haven't even started my first season with it. The more Vortex optics I use, the more I've become a believer.
|Dimension||13 x 1 x 7 in|
Delivers true color for correct color projection - thanks to its glass optical lenses. The Bushnell BoneCollector 850 laser rangefinder is made in the USA (yes, it is a premium local brand that has been around for decades). Plus, the reflective beam can reach up to 850 yards.
To put it simply, this is a minimalist's rangefinder. Right off the bat, you can tell that this is not as high of quality as a lot of other brands rangefinders. This rangefinder has one battery with one function: give a ranger.

The price is great for your bank account - it won't cost you a fortune, tho. The Halo Optics XL450-7 rangefinder stretches as far as 450 yards. Not to mention, this inexpensive range ruler also has a multiple scan mode for spotting objects at different yardages.
Push the button once, there's your distance. Totally worth the price. Compared to my old Simmons range finder where I'd have to push the button multiple times in order to get a measurement. I only archery hunt. For the distances I shoot, this is just what I need. Highly recommended.
|Dimension||8.5 inches x 2.5 inches x 6.5 in|
The golf rangefinder with the slope from PEAKPULSE. It is able to calculate the distance in whichever terrain you are going through. For perfect firing, this is integrated with Acquisition Technology to lock your wanted object.
This was on deal of the day so bought it as a backup. It was just as good as Nikon Coolshot but at $100 less and with a little vibration confirming pin lock, I actually like this one better. So I returned the Nikon and used extra $100 for golf balls which we still seem to lose even though we know the correct distance to hit. ;)
|Dimension||4.5 x 1.5 x 3 in|
This supports a wide range of activities. The REVASRI golf rangefinder is truly the low-cost rangefinder for on-budget shopping. It is lightweight, delivers clear and great viewing with 6x magnification. Moreover, if you want it to be quick, it has the speed mode to give you prompt info whether there is a potential prey or not.
I live this range finder. It is so accurate. It's at a great price too
