You’ll spend very little on torch consumable components in the long term because of the drag function, which is always good news.

When you really need something that would be lightweight, small, and portable, the Hobart 12CI is ideal. The fact that this little plasma cutter somehow doesn’t need an air compressor is one of its greatest characteristics. It only runs on 110V, so don’t expect it to cut anything thicker than 1/4′′ (but even that will be slower than the versions above), but it’s a wonderful machine to have if you ever need something portable.

"Shopped around at local stores for this same plasma cutter but found Amazon to have the best price. Unit arrived well packaged with no damage. The plasma cutter is lighter than I expected but does an amazing job of cutting 3/8 steel plate. I have no complaints with the Hobart 40i plasma cutter."
