There are three layers to mix perfume. The top or headnotes are fragrances that give the first impression from the perfume which is perceived immediately as you spray it. The heart or middle notes are the body of the fragrance that covers up whatever the unpleasant scent that the top notes leave. It is usually soft and mellow. Meanwhile, the base notes are perfumes that appear after the middle notes and solidify the depth of the perfume.

Well, first of all, avoid shaking perfume bottles because delicate components can be disrupted and spoil the perfume much faster. In addition, it is better to store perfume in its box and avoid sunlight exposure. You must know that sunlight can dissolve some of the elements of a perfume. Lastly, you don’t need to store perfume in the refrigerator, just simply put it in a cool and dry place. On average, the shelf life for a fragrance is 3 to 5 years.
How do I make the scent last?
Since perfume evaporates after a few hours, you can make it linger longer by applying petroleum jelly or layering it with a perfumed lotion to areas where you will apply the perfume. Another hack is to spray on the perfume immediately after you shower because at that time the pores are still open and can absorb the fragrance properly.
