Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is a pen tablet worth it?
If you want to work on digital art, drawing or pen tablets bring you new boundaries in your creative career, and it’s worth trying them out. It may seem strange and unusual at first, but it’s just a question of getting accustomed to it.
What is a pen tablet used for?
A graphics tablet (also known as a digitizer, digital graphic tablet, pen tablet, or digital art board) is a computer input device that allows users to create drawings, animations, and graphics using a special pen-like stylus, similar to how they would with a pencil and paper.
Which one is faster, drawing digitally or on paper?
Digital drawing is faster – Speaking of speed, digital drawing allows you to work much faster than you would if you were drawing on paper. What would take several hours on paper will take you half the time or less on a tablet if you know what you’re doing.
Why can I draw on paper but not on a tablet?
Drawing on paper with a pen is not the same as drawing on a tablet. The tablet can be finicky, depending on which one you have; the harder you press down, the thicker the line becomes. Because there is little to no friction, what you draw may appear shaky. Not only that, but the pens that tablets use can be a little bulky and occasionally glitch. Drawing on a tablet gets lot simpler if you practice and watch a few tutorials.

3.VEIKK
A30 V2 Drawing Tablet
Battery-free Tablet
The VEIKK A30 is an excellent tablet for newcomers to try out. The tablet, which costs $50, has the same features as many other tablets on the market, but for a half of the cost. The tablet’s surface was quite pleasant and smooth to draw on, and the button conveniences made sketching a breeze. You may assign the two buttons on the tablet to different computer functionalities. Both the pen and the tablet are battery-free, and the pen comes with eight additional replacement nibs as well as a bag to store the pen in when not in use, so you won’t have to worry about it becoming damaged or worn down over time.
This is a really good tablet for such a good price, what you're getting it's more affordable than other tablets of less quality, this tablet has 8192 pressure levels, and really surpriced me with their touch shortcuts. I can't compare it to my old H610 Huion Tablet (with 2040 levels of pressure sensitivity). It's a very well made tablet and actually can compete with a wacom tablet, definitely you should try it!

4.Wacom
PTH460K0A Intuos Pro
User-friendly Tablet
This drawing tablet is a terrific place to start if you’re new to digital art or graphic design since it’s user-friendly and can instantly transform your PC into a digital canvas. This graphic tablet boasts over 8,000 levels of pressure sensitivity and a drawing area of 12.1 x 8.4 inches, as well as a multi-touch surface, programmable express buttons, and pen side-switches to help you get more done faster. This tablet comes with the Wacom Pro Pen 2, which gives you the most precise drawing experience and improved pen performance, giving you maximum creative freedom.
This is such a powerful tool. You can feel the effectiveness of the 8,000+ points of pressure sensitivity. It feels like drawing with an actual brush, pencil, etc. It's amazing. I love the amount of detail that you can get with digital painting/illustration. Here's my first go at it.

5.XP-PEN
Deco Pro
Tablet with Roller-Touchpad
The first thing you’ll notice is the high build quality, which no other tablet in this price range can match. The Deco Pro feels like a professional drawing gadget, not a cheap toy tablet. The Roller-Touchpad combination is big. Very nicely done, smooth and useful. Every time you use the rollers, you enjoy being able to modify the brush size while zooming in and out of the canvas without ever touching the mouse. It boasts a large drawing surface, well-placed shortcut buttons, a mechanical wheel and touchpad, and everything else a drawing tablet should have. Not the cheapest drawing tablet, but definitely worth the money.
I’ve owned several tablets, and this is certainly one of the best. The build quality is good. The keys and wheels are useful, and the whole thing looks and feels like a premium product. The surface has just enough grip to allow you to control the stylus. The pen is smooth and responsive. Pressure and tilt work fine. I bought the smaller version because the “medium” size was just too large. The small version is just about right for me.

6.GAOMON
PD1161
Compact Size Drawing Tablet
The GAOMON PD1161 is groundbreaking because of its small size. Although many designers dislike small-screen graphic tablets, they seek them out when they’re on the road. GAOMON PD1161 can be your ideal partner in this situation! This tablet is aimed at beginners who are hesitant to move their creativity to digital platforms. Designers will feel more at ease using this digital tablet since it is inexpensive and comes with a strong pen.
After setting up and calibrating, this tablet was a pure joy to work with. I love the fact that it has a screen that reflects what is shown on the computer. That way, you can alternate from looking at the computer to the tablet to refresh your eyes and posture, without taking a break. The people at GAOMON are amazing to work with if there is ever an issue.

7.GAOMON
PD1561
Precise Drawing Tablet
The Gaomon PD1561 is a good drawing tablet alternative. It works on both Windows and Mac. For Windows 7/8/8.1 and Mac OS 12.12/13/14. It works with Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Open Canvas, and others. It offers a 1920 x 1080 HD IPS full screen resolution. With a 15.6-inch display, its 72 percent NTSC allows for more colorful and crisp visuals. Using a computer connection instead of a battery means no worry about charging and running out of batteries. Intricate drawings and precise lines are made possible with the unique pen that can tilt 60 degrees.
I gave this to myself for Christmas and am very glad I did. I have been working on a new coloring book (you can buy my first one here on Amazon, it's called I Love Bunnies.) I had to hand draw and ink it, now with the art tablet I am able to go straight from start to finish, make mistakes then redo without wasting time, ink, and paper. I am not good with computers but this went well from setup to first drawing. I can easily recommend this one .

The Huion H1161 Graphic tablet is 11 x 6.8 inches and is battery-free. It has a touch strip that makes the user’s experience better. It contains ten hard express keys and sixteen soft express keys to provide you a better sketching and video editing experience. Because it’s built for professional designers’ comfort, it has a 279.4mm x 174.6mm active area that helps you to be more creative. Chromebook is also compatible with this drawing tablet. Soft keys make shortcuts simpler to use, but they may also be deactivated if not in use.
super easy to set up, and feels extremely smooth when going over with the pen. i highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good large first tablet, or just anyone whos wanting a new one. its very thin and lightweight so i don't recommend letting it get anywhere that could bend it, but otherwise its very easy to travel with.

9.Lenovo
Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop
Convertible Laptop Tablet
The Lenovo Flex 12 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop combines the benefits of a laptop and a tablet in one device. Its full 1920 x 1080 touch screen display provides you the best of both worlds: a tablet and a laptop with a convertible touchpad when you need it. With a full charge, it has a battery life of 10 hours. Its 14-inch display provides you the full experience of spectacular high-definition images in fine detail. It has a 2.1 GHz processor and 12GB of RAM which is enough to create and save all of your films and editing tools.
I'm a professional photographer, and needed a beefy, fast and affordable laptop to tether my camera to Adobe Lightroom for tethered shooting of portraits. I went with the AMD Ryzen version with 12gb of RAM and 256gb SSD. Once I got set up and running, I installed Lightroom and tested a few tethered shots. They imported quickly, which is exactly what I wanted. Lightroom & Photoshop run well, so editing on the go is a breeze. Plus, you can't beat booting from full powered off to into WIndows in under 10 seconds. Battery life seems to be good, too. Great little laptop for the money.

10.Apple
iPad Pro Tablet
Excellent Computer Tablet
The RAM on this 9.7-inch Apple iPad Pro Tablet is 2GB. It features an M10 Graphics Coprocessor. The battery life is an average of 8 hours, which is great for video editing. This iPad Pro is delicately constructed, with a strong CPU that allows it to function smoothly. While working, the dual-core CPU keeps it from slowing down. The 128GB internal storage space provides enough of room for your editing toolkits and programs. This decreases the danger of the tablet slowing down while you’re working, which may be a major obstacle when it comes to tablet video editing.
I got this because as a student wishing to lower my backpack load, and I was honestly seeking an option to go completely digital, so this just honestly made sense! Didn’t fully like the brand new options in my price range, and I'm very glad I remembered I could purchase renewed! This iPad may not be the newest, shiniest one, but it does what I need it to and more!
