The chair mat is very sturdy. Once I began to unroll it, I realized why the instructions stated to let it come to room air for 24 hours. When unrolling it, hold down one end with you foot if you don’t have a second person to help. Also when you get to the very end, be careful not to paper cut your finger on the edge because I did. That being said, this mat is high quality and will last for years to come.

With all of the work from home we did in 2020, I started to worry I would mess up my carpet. This matt is just the thing. I use it every day and don't worry about the carpet anymore. Word of advice, it arrives rolled up, and the instructions say to let it warm up for 4 hours at room temperature before trying to unroll it to avoid cracking or breaking the matt. I ran a bathtub of hot water and let it soak in that for a couple of hours, and it unrolled with zero problems.

This mat is made of phthalate-free PVC and will last for years under your office chair. Due to the obvious non-skid felt backing and rubberized dots, the mat will stay in place on any floor. Furthermore, since it has a bi-fold design, moving this mat is a breeze.

I'm using this chair mat in my office over a low pile natural color carpet which happens to blend well with the background color of the mat. I LOVE it and everyone who sees it does too. I suppose they might prefer one of the manufacturer's other prints (if they take the time to explore them online)....and there are plenty of those to please most people....but overall, it's a big hit with my friends and with me. Like the product description mentioned, it did arrive flat. I was a little put off how thin it was compared to a much heavier one I have in another room. But after having it for a couple weeks now I must say this chair matt is very strong. I weigh 240 lbs. plus I have a fairly heavy chair and this matt, on my medium pile carpet, takes it all in stride. No cracks or indentations at all and my chairs rolls super smoothly on it. I'm very impressed. I would definitely purchase this again.
