Chef is permitted to wear sneakers as long as they provide adequate protection. Just like this pair of sneakers offered by Skechers. It is made of leather and synthetic materials, with a rubber sole for a comfortable and secure grip. Besides that, as you can see, this sneaker has a 1.5-inch heel height for added support.

I work as a manager in a grocery store. I am on my feet, quite literally, all day. They don't wear out my feet like other shoes, and so far they haven't broken down, which is good. I go through regular shoes it about four months, before breaking out the sides of the leather, having the sole separate from the side, or just plain wearing the safety non slip sole off. ^_^;; These shoes were recommended by a co-worker, and so far, I'm quite happy with them. I think I'm in my third month, and no signs of breaking yet!
