Round ND filters or Square ND filters
It is very much adapted to what your heart calls. When you only want to attach one filter to one lens of your camera, you can use around the ND filter that is adjusted to the size of your camera lens. But if you have multiple lens sizes and want to constantly change the lens and camera, you can pick the square one. It is completely up to you.
How do I install an ND filter?
For around ND filter, before you buy, you are expected to be able to choose the size yourself that has been adjusted to the camera lens you have. As for the square shape, you can use a ring holder to make sure no light penetrates your camera lens.
What is the purpose of an ND filter?
Lots of uses for ND filters for maximum photo results. Three of them are to give satisfactory results when you want to shoot a landscape with a long exposure. Furthermore, you can use an ND filter as a balance between the shutter and a shallow depth of field, so you can still use a high aperture without fear of overexposure when the sun is hot and shining very brightly. Then the most fun thing is, with the F-stop feature, you can slow down your shutter speed so that it can be used to remove moving people or objects from your photos.
Should I use an ND filter?
Not really. You can do your photography hobby without an ND filter. You can explore it according to your abilities. However, it is highly recommended for those of you who like to shoot landscapes to get used to using an ND filter. This is necessary so that you don’t lose the depth of your photo results due to the low aperture when the sun is very bright.

Very pleased with this filter. No vignetting when used with Canon 6D & 24-105 f/4 lens. Neither were there any problems with flaring or reflections. High quality filter at a budget price.

Proper filter for the dramatic effect of cotton-like cloud in the night sky and the soft like candy streamline with glossy effect on its surface, you can create those imaginaries look by applying this filter from Zomei. Constructed with the top glass materials, the filter surely nicely built with high durability. Besides, this has an HD 18-layer double-side multi-coated, super waterproof, prevent oil pollution, dust and scratch. Pst, you need a ring holder since this is a square-shape ND filter.
I have recently purchased both the 10 stop and 6 stop 100mm ND filters. After using both filters I can't fault them in any way. Build quality is fantastic and filters come with both hard and soft cases.

Allows for variable light reduction from between 2-8 stops, you are free to make adaptation to the situation you are in. When the sky is too dark, you can set it to the ND2 for better-looking and a pretty handful to create a soft effect to the photos. For the shielding, this comes with a double anti-reflective coating, but with a super-thin ring, only 7mm thicknesss. And to avoid vignetting at the wide-angle lens, this filter has a special front lens, the diameter of the front lens is larger than that of the rear lens.
Item arrived quickly and was well packaged. The filter works great and helped me get some external shots that otherwise would have blown out my exposure. Highly recommended if you're working on a budget.

It won’t give you a nasty tint on your night photography. This filter designed by completed professional optical glasses instead of Optical resin, that’s why it is superior to filter the light including the light during the night without violating the color gradation because still it held natural beauty. Other features are it developed new Nano coating layer technology, waterproof, scratch-resistant, anti-reflective green coating, effectively prevent from oil, fingerprint, scratch, protect valued lens.
At time of this review I have had the filter for roughly 4 days.Easily my favorite attribute about this filter is the lack of 'X' problems with photos. With many variable neutral density filters you can spin the filter too far and create an 'X' unintentionally. K&F have solved this issue by only allowing the filter to twist to a certain spot so the use will not accidentally ruin any photos. The filter feels very rugged and sturdy. The portion of the filter that does not spin has grooves on it to easily hold on and twist the outer ring. Great product so far.

Marumi is a brand from Japan. This filter comes in 5.0 density and a 92.000x filter factor for 16.5 stop exposure reduction. You can capture the myriad stars in the night sky without trouble, as well as you can catch the pretty aurora landscape at the North pole. This filter can also be used to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control the depth of the field.
Well, I had to wait until the eclipse to be sure this worked as advertised - but it did! In fact, if anything, I had trouble with shutter speeds that were too slow - in the El Paso TX are so the eclipse was only 62% covering at maximum, and yet still I was shooting my Fuji 100-400 with 2X TC at about 1/170 second using ISO 3200 (and setting the camera to -3EV underexposure)

Uses two polarizing layers to control the amount of light that coming through the filter, the density is 0.45 to 2.7 f-stop. At its minimum effect, the filter passes 1/3 of the light in a scene. That is equal to 1.5 stops on the aperture or shutter speed. At it, maximum effect the filter passes just 1/400 of the light in a scene. For other stunning features, this ND filter uses high-quality optical glass from Hoya Corporation, the world’s largest optical glass manufacturer. Undoubtedly, it held a high-quality products, but with a super affordable price than the rest.
Excellent filter, I recommend

Moment is brand new for this field. They combine many aspects that have been lacking in each ND filter that had been used by them. For this type of ND filter, you are allowed to savor the beauty of nature as well as the art of photography to create gorgeous wedding photography. These variable ND filters are available in 2-5 stops and 6-9 stops. To add up to its stunning feature, the filter rings are precision machined from aerospace-grade metal, delivering the durability we expect when shooting.
For the most part, I've compared many ND filters before making my decision but this filter competes with some of the best filters out there. I highly recommend this ND filter

This Variable Neutral Density filter from Platinum is compatible with most 67mm, 58mm, and 52mm lenses. It can reduce the light that can blind your camera lens. The reducing effect is helpful to get you to always operate the camera with the highest rate of aperture, so you don’t neglect the sharpness and the depth-in-filed aspect of your image. It reduces incoming light between 1 and 8.6 f-stops.
This is a all around great filter to have in your bag of goodies. What I really like about this filter is the fact that you have multiple filters all rolled into one. This filter gives you between 1 and 8.6 f-stops which covers most anything that I shoot. This works well for those long exposures with flowing water, makes for some really nice effects. Also, the aluminum frame makes for a hassle free operation and the dial on the side is easy to read.
