in short, its done everything a watch needs to do without issue. Besides that I want to remark on its durability, Im a dog trainer and bull rider and neither is gentle on the body or its accoutrements. This watch has been whacked, bitten, thrown and fallen on. In the photo my watch still has some mud from the practice pen last weekend packed in the crevices. I forgot to take it off. Oh well, the face is still clean and it holds time just fine. ...

Great field watch. I've used it at -30 F in Alaska, snorkeling in the Indian Ocean, had it caked in mud in flood recovery operations, and slammed against hard surfaces countless times. The battery lasts about a year with normal use but using the compass a lot will drain the battery. Calibrate the compss and altimeter for better accuracy.

Works perfect! ... It is nice to see the movement of the parts on the back of the watch. Fun fact I found is that the Seiko 5 is also known as the "Missionary Watch" because it was thought for places without access to a watchmaker or batteries. In other words, its a watch that should work for a long time under normal and tough conditions. So far It has worked really well in a pool, mountain biking, and camping.

I wear this watch every day. I bought it to replace a jacked up Gshock. It's made it through jungle school, warrant officer candidate school, SERE, and many a drunk nights. An absolute tank, this thing has been submerged, covered in mud, beat to death and it keeps going. Duel time/stopwatch is convenient. Almost two years and no sign of cracking or stretching from band. Honestly would buy another but probably will never need to.

As a full time firefighter/paramedic, I have put this watch through its paces. I have not been disappointed once. It handles heat, cold, mud, physical abuse...all without missing a beat. If this one gets melted, I will buy another. Does not lose or gain time. Buttons are sealed and firm, but they work every time. Terrific backlight.

Hands down my favorite watch. This is a stylish, durable and reliable watch. I've had it for about a month now and it has become my everyday wear watch. It feels solid and quality without being heavy. The strap is durable and wellmade, the case is tight and it keeps time we'll. Being light powered is such a wonderful feature. It took me a few minutes to figure hour how to set it, but otherwise it's wonderful.

No wonder this watch is a mainstay of military personnel.

Officer in the United States Navy and I wear this watch everyday. It gets beat up, used for dives, and rolling in mud. It has never missed a beat. One time the watch strap got caught and it was flung off a humvee doing 80 mph over assphault. It skipped for 10 yards then came to a stop. One gash in the metal face and that was it. That event happened over three years ago and the thing still hasn't missed a beat. I couldn't recommend this watch more. Plus it looks stylish as hell being worn with dress clothes. I'd also recommend getting some nato watch bands to go with it.
