This was one of my first video sticks I ever got and I still carry it over my shoulder to this day. It's compact and works just as you'd expect it. As long as your expectations are accurate, and you understand and realize that you're not going to get proper pan/tilt drag adjustments at this price point, then this will serve you very, very well. The natural drag amount is very nice for both pan and tilt, and you can actually kinda-sorta add drag to the tilt by moving the tilt-lock slightly.

This monopod is fantastic, I've been using it for video and photo and even without a tilting and panning tripod head, it has easily fulfilled all my needs. When unlocked, the foot moves with ease, allowing me to balance on uneven surfaces and move quickly from place to place. In its locked position it is pretty stable, and I was comfortable taking my hands off of the monopod and letting it stand as long as I had my eye on it. It extends and protracts easily, the clips are quick to use and don't take too much force to open/close but are very strong. Overall its a lightweight but strong and sturdy monopod.

Contrary to some of the other reviews I have had a fantastic experience with this. What I like the most is I can stabilize with one hand (Canon C200) while doing other things, like focussing and adjusting settings. The base allows for a stable upright or with a click of the foot a free tilt. This free tilt can also be used for a (short) smooth pan (to an extent). Construction seems good to me, and it folds up nice for easy transport.
