If you are the type that has to work multitasking and need a screen bigger than your MacBook, it means you need an additional monitor. For this reason, if you are considering buying a new monitor for your MacBook, we have some recommendations and ideas for you. And for you to know, to connect your MacBook with your new monitor, usually you will need an HDMI cable. So here it is, the list of top-rated monitors for MacBook.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Which monitor is best for eyes?

The one with the blue light controller, if possible choose 4K resolution (because it is the future technology), also the one that delivers exquisite images to your eyes. But overall, to protect your eyes from distortion, wear anti-radiation eyewear to tackle fatigue.

Which PC monitor should I buy?

First and foremost, you need to be clear about the work you need to get done – is it gaming, editing, pro, or for casual use? If you are a gamer, it is advisable to pick the one which is supported by a high-level of refresh rate and a better panel display. But if you use it for watching movies or other recreational purposes, you do not need those fancy features embedded in monitor gaming.

Should I get a 27 or 32 inch monitor?

In short, it’s on you. If you wish for large and wide viewing, 32 inches is a perfect choice, but if you have small space, and don’t wish to add up more crowd, the 27″ monitor will do.

Are IPS monitors better for eyes?

There are three main panel displays – TN, VA, and IPS. IPS is the highest rate and has become a favorite for many. It delivers exceptional vision clarity with super fine details, and it is very much friendly for the eyes.

Worked out of the box. Absolutely no issues. Has a little weight to it although it doesn’t appear bulky. Picture is outstanding. Perfect low price 4K monitor for the everyday computer user. Use it for my 2020 Mac mini (HDMI) and a 2020 MacBook Pro (USB-C to HDMI, USB-C to DisplayPort both work).

Promising review:

I would like to say this one is the one. I am using this with Macbook pro and Windows desktop both. Picture quality, build quality both are really good , texts on the screen are crisp clear. I used Samsung 144 CHG monitor before this one is way better in every respect. Only one thing LG should improve is stand. It supports tilt but can not swivel.

The overall performance is good for a VA panel. I’m surprised at how good the color is when placed next to my macbook pro laptop which should be using IPS panel since it has a retina display.

8.
Acer
EI342CKR

Silky Smooth and Rich Images

price from
$499.99
Our opinion:

Features a 1 ms GTG response time, 100 million: 1 contrast ratio with 144 Hz refresh rate. The Acer EI342CKR is another curved monitor display. This is enabled with FreeSync for stuttering-free and tearing-free images. And for eargasm, the monitor comes with 2W stereo speakers. Also, to make it sync with MacBook or other smart devices, it is equipped with two DisplayPort 1.4 and dual HDMI 2.0 inputs.

Promising review:

For a curved widescreen with with VA and 144hz rate, you really can't beat the price. The 21:9 ratio works excellently as a single-monitor, dual-program setup for productivity. For gaming, Displayport carries 4K at 144Hz no problem (and has AMD freesync). The internal speakers leave something to be desired, but if you're not concerned with audio and just looking for great display performance on a budget, this is the one for you.

The crazily expensive monitor, but worth buying if you can afford it. The Apple Pro Display XDR is not to be questioned. This generates a 6K display, wonderful detail, and clear images, also super wide scope of view. What’s so great about this mad price tag product? Well, this is loaded with powerful features – 1000 nits full-screen sustained brightness, 1600 nits peak brightness, and 1 million: 1 contrast ratio for super deep picture displays.

Promising review:

I've used the LG 27" display for a few weeks now along with my new Mac Mini. It pairs up really nicely. It is way nicer than the screen from my old 2011 iMac (a lot more resolution for sure). The built in speakers are passable. They go from quiet to loud pretty quickly. The microphone works well. So does the camera.
