If you like landscape photography, you may think about which camera is the greatest on the market today. With so many excellent cameras available, it isn’t easy to choose a winner. However, although most digital cameras are suitable for landscape photography, some will outperform others in terms of total megapixels, dynamic range, in-camera capabilities, and lens choices. Although many landscape photographers continue to depend on DSLR cameras with a known track record, others are migrating to mirrorless systems. To assist you in looking for the best mirrorless camera for landscape photography, we have compiled a list of the 10 best mirrorless camera for landscape photography.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Just in case you wanna know

What type of photography is a mirrorless camera used for?

A smaller sensor equals a smaller camera, which makes mirrorless cameras more portable. Furthermore, its mobility makes it a better alternative for vacation, street, or landscape photography.

Why should I choose a mirrorless camera for landscape photography?

  • Mirrorless cameras are more portable
  • Mirrorless cameras have compact lenses and accessories
  • You can easily protect your mirrorless camera in adverse weather

How many megapixels do I need for landscape photography?

A landscape photography camera with 16 megapixels (MP) is enough for most purposes. Almost no camera sold now has less than 16 megapixels, and several have more. In addition, a 16 MP camera can produce a high-quality A2 print.

How do I choose the best mirrorless camera for landscape photography?

Landscape photographers should prioritize megapixels and dynamic ranges when selecting a camera. High-resolution cameras can capture beautiful, fine detail (for coping with high-contrast scenes at dawn and dusk).

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV - Best Mirrorless Camera for Landscape Photography: 20 MP Live MOS Sensor
https://www.amazon.com/

1.
Olympus
OM-D E-M10 Mark IV

20 MP Live MOS Sensor

price from
$599.98
Our opinion:

Despite its compact size, the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV is packed with possibilities for still photographers. With a straightforward button layout, a touchscreen that can be flipped down, and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, this camera is designed primarily for smartphone users. In addition, the 20.3MP camera’s dynamic range was far better than that of a small camera or a smartphone. Furthermore, this camera is supported by a superb five-axis in-body image stabilization system inherited from the flagship E-M1 series, which kept everything sharp even while shooting handheld or in low light.

Promising review:

"This is a good camera for someone who understands cameras and photo taking. It is also good for someone who can only use it on auto. It’s an overall amazing camera. It is stylish and light weight."

Fujifilm X-T4 - Best Mirrorless Camera for Landscape Photography: Provides up to 6.5 stops of image stabilization
https://www.amazon.com/

2.
Fujifilm
X-T4

Provides up to 6.5 stops of image stabilization

price from
$1.70
Our opinion:

The Fujifilm X-T4 is the best APS-C mirrorless camera available today. There’s plenty here to sway photographers and filmmakers away from the X-T3, with much-enhanced battery life, in-body image stabilization, a quieter shutter, and design modifications that improve handling. In addition, the X-design T4 is appealing and straightforward, and its class-leading picture and video specifications are supported by solid performance. This is actually two cameras in one, and it’s an excellent hybrid all-arounder.

Nikon Z 9 - Best Mirrorless Camera for Landscape Photography: Programmed auto with flexible program
https://www.amazon.com/

3.
Nikon
Z 9

Programmed auto with flexible program

price from
$6.26
Our opinion:

The Z9 is the quickest mirrorless camera ever produced by Nikon. You may capture up to 20 RAW frames per second at full quality, 30 JPEGs, or an astounding 120 JPEGs per second at a lesser 11-megapixel resolution. Thus, you may shoot in quiet mode with this Nikon Z9 or activate a simulated shutter sound if you need to hear the “click.” In addition, the hybrid phase-detection autofocus is a significant advance over the previous generation. Nikon has brought 3D tracking across from its DSLRs, but the Z9’s 493 AF tracking points make it much superior to the competition.

https://www.amazon.com/

4.
Sony
Alpha 1

Combines high-resolution & high-speed performance

price from
$6.50
Our opinion:

With its high-resolution sensor, super-fast burst shooting, lightning-fast autofocus, professional connection, and 8K raw video, the Sony A1 is a great camera that covers almost every photography niche. This camera’s user-friendliness and picture quality are unparalleled, but the price tag puts it out of reach for most photographers. In social media parlance, the Sony A1 is the camera equivalent of a flex. With its uncommon combination of speed, high-resolution stills, and 8K video, it aims to be the best mirrorless camera available and Sony’s indisputable flagship.

Promising review:

"Fantastic camera. Great autofocus. I love the speed of the buffer for 50mp files. It doesn't feel like it slows down the camera at all. 30fps for action shots is great."

Panasonic LUMIX S5 - Best Mirrorless Camera for Landscape Photography: High-precision autofocus, robust image stabilization
https://www.amazon.com/

5.
Panasonic
LUMIX S5

High-precision autofocus, robust image stabilization

price from
$1.70
Our opinion:

Panasonic has definitely learned from the complaints leveled at its first full-frame mirrorless cameras. The Panasonic S5 combines a full-frame sensor with a tiny yet comfortable chassis. With a decent range of video characteristics, the result is a superb hybrid that comes highly recommended. Furthermore, the Lumix S5 adheres to the conventional design paradigm of most full-frame mirrorless cameras. It’s also far lighter, weighing roughly 1.6 pounds without a lens than 2.2 pounds for Panasonic’s more extensive full-frame options.

Fujifilm X-S10 - Best Mirrorless Camera for Landscape Photography: The 425-point hybrid AF system
https://www.amazon.com/

6.
Fujifilm
X-S10

The 425-point hybrid AF system

price from
$1.35
Our opinion:

Fujifilm has built one of the best entry-level mirrorless cameras by borrowing a few critical features from the flagship X-T4 and cramming them into a smaller, more affordable body. As a result, it is a true all-arounder due to its 26.1MP APS-C sensor, X Processor 4, and internal image stabilization. Moreover, the quality of the Fujifilm XS-10 was comparable to that of the X-T4. Nevertheless, the clarity and adaptability of the 4K video were among the best. Besides, this camera incorporating IBIS in a body of such tiny size is a tremendous benefit, giving the X-S10 a significant edge while shooting handheld.

Promising review:

"Very comfortable to carry, and pictures are great. Coming from the XT1 XT20, XT30, and XH1, I do miss the physical dials, but it's worth it to get stabilization in such a small package."

7.
Nikon
Z 5

Intensely detailed 24MP full-frame images & 4K UHD videos

price from
$1.30
Our opinion:

The Nikon Z5 is currently the greatest entry-level full-frame mirrorless camera available. Of course, the Z5 isn’t flawless, but it has much going for it owing to superb picture quality, dependable autofocus performance, easy handling, and a weather-sealed and durable casing. Furthermore, the Nikon Z5’s 3.69 million-dot electronic viewfinder (EVF) is superb. There’s also a 273-point autofocus system that works well for static and moving objects and is intelligent enough to identify and focus on your subject’s eye.

Nikon Z fc - Best Mirrorless Camera for Landscape Photography: Superb image quality
https://www.amazon.com/

8.
Nikon
Z fc

Superb image quality

price from
$949.95
Our opinion:

Nikon’s newest mirrorless Z camera is the Nikon Z fc. While the Z fc is packed with current mirrorless technology, its design is reminiscent of Nikon’s film days. A 20.9-megapixel DX-format CMOS picture sensor powers the attractive camera. Moreover, the sensor is combined with an EXPEED 6 image processor. The 209-point hybrid autofocus system is also the same. Overall, the Z fc has a plastic-y feel, including its dials and, in particular, the battery compartment lid on the bottom. You can also reach the SD card slot from the bottom of the camera, which might be a problem when using a tripod plate.

Promising review:

Canon EOS R5 - Best Mirrorless Camera for Landscape Photography: High-speed continuous shooting of up to 12 fps
https://www.amazon.com/

9.
Canon
EOS R5

High-speed continuous shooting of up to 12 fps

price from
$3.90
Our opinion:

The EOS R5 is Canon’s most advanced still camera, capable of practically every kind of photography. The Canon EOS R5 is, as a stills camera, Canon’s best product ever. It is the ideal combination of the EOS R’s design, the EOS 5D’s functionality, and the EOS-1D X’s professional-grade autofocus. It is one of the best cameras you will ever have the pleasure of using if you are a still or hybrid photographer who moves between photography and filming. Furthermore, two years after its debut, it has proven to be all we hoped for in a professional workhorse due to its excellent autofocus, super-fast burst shooting, and the additional benefit of 8K video.

10.
Panasonic
LUMIX G100

Ozo audio with subject tracking

price from
$799.99
Our opinion:

The Panasonic LUMIX G100 is a Micro Four Thirds mirrorless, interchangeable lens camera. It’s pretty light and portable and has a fully articulated touchscreen, making it ideal for vlogging. Moreover, this camera produces superb JPEG picture quality and amazing 4k and FHD video quality under higher lighting. Furthermore, its autofocus technology performs well while tracking moving objects but has issues when monitoring faces.
