The Lotos MIG175 provides exceptional pricing while delivering competitive performance. It can weld neatly up to 14 inches in steel or stainless steel, and up to 3/16 inches in aluminum. A dedicated spool cannon makes the latter possible. The spool gun is sometimes an additional, although it is included with the package, and it has enough capabilities for certain pros, has shown longevity, and is a decent value. The 20% duty cycle, on the other hand, may be a bit restrictive.

"After using this for over a year, I'm really happy with this welder. They claim to want full power for 1/4" but thats too hot on mine. I have welded on 1/2" splitter wings using .035 wire with no issue on this, and am happy with both the power and control. I can turn it down and weld sheet metal just as well as plate. It's also nice that it uses the generic tip and nozzle replacements. I am using mine constantly and it always does the job."

Input voltage is 110 volts, therefore it may be used in any typical home.

Because of its inverter technology, the Everlast Powermig 200 welder weighs only 35 pounds. This could be used as a stick welder or a flux core welder in addition to MIG welding. The length of the wire is automatically adjusted upon startup with the Powering 200’s burn-back control. In one pass, 200 amps can weld 3/8-inch thick steel. Additionally, features such as two display screens and a reduced arc control mechanism are welcome additions to this pricing point.

It’s simple and lightweight, weighing only 19 pounds, and it delivers a kind of quality that attracts both home and professional welders. The Forney is powered by regular electricity. It employs flux-core wire, so all users have to do is choose the voltage (which fluctuates a lot) and the wire-feed speed. Although the latter has ten steps, the manufacturer does not reveal the exact numbers. Even the top speed may be a tad slow for more experienced welders. Weld strength is unaffected by speed, but production is.

The SUPER DEAL PRO MIG welder has a lot going for it. This gasless machine is powered by a 110V household outlet, weighs 38 lbs, and therefore can weld up to 3/16-inch steel. The welder comes with a spool of air flow wire and a rudimentary mask. There are ten places on the wire feed, but there is no indication of speed. Although the SUPER DEAL PRO is a simple MIG welder to operate, its directions may be insufficient for beginners. It’s probably suitable for individuals with some experience looking for a low-cost tool for “quick-and-dirty” repairs.

"Given the price I bought this thing at compared to other welders, I half expected to plug it in, get zapped, and see smoke pour out of it. So far it's been a decent welder however and I haven't had any problems out of it. The wire gets stuck in the liner sometimes when putting a new spool on but it just taking some working around. It's got about the power you would expect out of a 110v welder and if you heat things up well enough you can do some decently thick welding. Good machine for the price."

Hobart welding equipment is known for its high quality, and the Handler 210 contributes to that. It may operate on 110V or 220V power and could be used with or without gas. These qualities, together with the capacity to weld 3/8-inch steel and 3/16-inch aluminum, make it an excellent choice for usage in the workshop and on the job site. In addition, the Hobart Handler 210 is fairly heavy at 79 pounds. It’s one of the more expensive devices we looked at, but the abilities and longevity may make it worthwhile for dedicated welders.

"I purchased this as a beginner/novice home welder. I was looking for a capable 240V unit from a reputable manufacturer, at not too dear a price. So far this has met my needs working on FCAW projects on 16 ga. to 1/4" mild steel material. It is not light in weight but seems rugged. It is a bit bigger than some lower priced or rated units, so make sure it fits on your cart or rack with room to open the side panel for spool changes - this was an issue for me (my oversight, not a product flaw). It is hard to imagine I will outgrow this unit for my home and hobby needs."

"I've used this welder many times from the rental company, we've run industrial scale operations and this welder never failed us. We've welded 16 ga black iron piping for kitchen exhaust systems and it is great. 18 ga stainless piping and it handles well. 3/8 mild steel again no problem. It takes a beating and keeps on going."

Stick is a gasless kind of welding, similar to flux core, that is especially useful for heavy-duty steel and iron welding, particularly outside. Unsurprisingly, the Weldpro 200 is not a budget welder; but, it is reasonably priced for a machine with so many features.

"I first ran the welder with the 110volt adapter plug and it would keep tripping my breaker even though nothing else was being used on the mat circuit except the welder. I ran 240volt power to my garage and since then the welder hasn’t skipped a beat very satisfied with it."
