Got it just a couple of hours ago, read the instructions, inserted batteries and went outside to indiscriminately find anything available in the yard. Worked great! Found aluminum, nails, a staple, head of an old artist's brush, drink can tab, a penny, a lot line marker.... I look forward to fine-tuning it for specific searches. For anyone worried about how long it is, it came in 3 sections (coil, coil stem, upper handle with attached control box) in a 28.25" box. Well-packaged for safe shipping.

This detector’s pinpoint feature is great. Once a target has been discovered under the soil, this allows you to more precisely identify where the target is located in the hole. You can save a lot of time looking for a target by using the pinpoint feature. Additionally, as an item passes under the coil, the tones and sound of this detector become louder and higher, and as you go away, the tones and sound become quieter.

Very nice and light easy to use my 5 year old has already found a 14k diamond ring with it we lost back in November very happy great detector easy easy to use...great gift for sombody that has wondered about trying metal detecting..5 stars.

The Fisher F22 is one of the more affordable models that can still be used in a variety of settings. It is environmentally sealed, allowing you to take it to both tough and simple environments. It features four modes of operation for versatility: artifact, custom, coin, and jewelry. Using the 9-segment visual and numerical target ID, you can easily distinguish the trash from the treasure.

I bought this to find the lot stakes in my yard. It worked great. It is very sensitive and it does take some getting use to, to learn how to adjust the sensitivity. I found a lot of old pieces of junk, nails etc, in my yard just playing with it.

The DR.TEK MT-XR is excellent in terms of both build quality and capabilities. The first benefit that should be noted is its large size. Many of you may take this function for granted, but it’s critical since the loudness of many detectors may hurt your ears. The model is made of lightweight materials and comes with a waterproof coil, a built-in pinpointer, and a big touch screen that shows discrimination, target IDs, and other information.

Right after assembling it(which was super easy), I tested it with different metals and coins. And every time it would display the correct icon. Plus it's super easy to operate.

Detector is a nice light weight so you don't get arm fatigue using it. So far, I've found it to be very accurate. I was not sure what to expect because of the price but I'm happy to report it's high quality. If you're looking for an affordable metal detector to get started like I was, this is a great choice.
