I have been using Merrell hiking books for the past 15+ years and have been generally happy with fit, finish and durability. Several pair have lasted 3 years of hard use. I buy the waterproof Gortex model since we do a lot of hiking in snow and around water. Very comfortable using heavier wool socks in winter and lighter cotton socks in warmer months.

Timberland is most famous for their fashionable boots. Its hiking boots, on the other hand, are more than suitable for your regular trekking demands. They also look fantastic. Designed for hiking, the Relmont Pelmo is a water-resistant hiking boot constructed of a mix of natural and synthetic leather. It is available in both standard and wide widths.

I friggen love these things. We got some snow here in Mississippi and it’s always wet muddy snow and these boots were awesome. We got 7” and my feet stayed warm and dry. They are very comfortable too. They aren’t not slip on indoor floors though, but I didn’t buy them for the indoors so harm no fowl. A+ boots. Worth $60. Size was pretty accurate too.

These are my second pair of Salomon's. I trail run in Fellraisers throughout the year. I purchased these for hiking and hunting. However, after wearing these I am also looking forward to running in them. I live in the Pacific Northwest so we get a lot of rain. During my hunts this fall, my feet stayed dry and comfortable. The traction is top notch and aggressive. The boot is lightweight and made long hikes much easier. My feet didn't feel heavy at the end of the day.

The Merrell Moab 2 Mid Ventilator is a lightweight boot that is a good choice for budget-conscious day hikers. They don’t have a waterproof layer, so they’re particularly breathable and great for warm walks. They’re spacious and available in a wide variant, so they’re ideal for folks who have large feet. The sole is rather flexible and light, and they didn’t need any break-in time.

I've been buying these for awhile and I absolutely looooovvvee them best hiking boot that fits me and what I'm doing just wanted to say to Merrell please don't stop making them or make major changes cus its perfect.

The Timberland Mt. Maddsen Mid is a good pick if you’re searching for a comfortable, grippy, and strong mid-height boot that won’t cost much. They’re composed of full grain leather and waterproofed using Timberland’s Timber-Dry membrane. These boots have a vintage look and feel to them, and they don’t seem to be inexpensive at first sight.

I am on my 4th pair of these shoes. I love them! I have a hard time finding shoes that fit and last as I wear them daily. I am diabetic and require a comfortable shoe and these fit the bill. Thanks!

The Lowa Renegade GTX Mid is a mid-cut hiking boot with a traditional design that blends a complete leather top with a waterproof membrane that provides great waterproofing and breathability. Even in the wettest, soggiest weather, it can keep your feet dry. The leather top performed an excellent job of repelling water while being breathable enough to keep our feet from becoming swampy after a hike in hot weather.

Great boots (though I say this only after using them a short while). Very comfortable; no break-in needed; construction looks solid, and I expect to get many more miles from them than my previous ones.

Feet have plenty of freedom to stretch out thanks to the broad, rounded toe box. Furthermore, they produce excellent footwear. This all-leather mid-rise hiking boot is robust and well-made. It includes a waterproof leather lining and a breathable leather lining. Many Keen boots are wide, and the Targhee 2’s rounded toe box allows for more space up front.
