Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
In case you don't know...
Why do you need heel cups or insoles?
Under the foot and inside the shoe, insoles or heel cups provide support, protect your heels from blisters or rubbings, and guarantee a proper fit, particularly when wearing a large size shoe. If you have plantar fasciitis, a heel or bone spur, sprains, swollen feet, or other foot problems, you'll need it to adjust the position of the foot bone.
How long should a heel cup or insole be on the feet?
Since it might take some time for you to adjust to having extra stuff in your shoes, you should try timing yourself. It can range from 30-60 minutes to 4-5 hours each day as the days pass. The activities you engage in, as well as the number of hours you spend on your feet, will have an impact.
What is heel cups or insole made of?
Medical-grade silicone gel, memory foam, carbon fiber, and other compression materials are used in most heel cups or insole. They may also have layered inserts to offer additional cushioning and support for the foot. The materials are light, flexible, and moldable, allowing them to fit into a variety of shoe styles and sizes.
How Often Should you replace it?
Depending on the durability, daily users of heel cups or insole should obtain a new pair every three months. The frequency with which you replace it is determined by the activities you engage in with it. Check for a reduction in cushioning if you start to experience pain in your feet (which is a sign of wear and tear). If you don't wear it frequently, it can last up to six months before you need to replace it.

I've been through tons of insoles and these will be the only ones I buy from now on.

These Superfeet insoles are ideal for people who have flat feet and stand a lot during the day. The Superfeet design is low-profile and flexible, providing stability and support while reducing strain and stress on the feet, ankles, and knees. These insoles include high-density foam cushioning throughout to keep your feet comfy and pain-free during the day.
Expensive but Worth It - These seem a bit pricey to me but they are worth it. I put these in Frye boots I bought here at Zappos and they are wonderful. I highly recommend these - especially if you are going to wear boots, but these will do you well for any shoes.
These Spenco insoles are designed to promote better biomechanical movement by counteracting overpronation and guiding your stride for a more natural gait. They also provide great support without forcing a high arch, making them more comfortable for flat-footed individuals. The SpenCore heel plug provides cushioning and helps absorb shock in the heel area, which is ideal for people with plantar fasciitis or other types of heel pain.
Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx insoles are designed for women with flat feet and provide the ideal mix of foot support, control, and cushioning. They feature a strong but flexible shell that supports and stabilizes your feet, as well as shock-absorbing padding in the heel to absorb impact. The best insole, period. I have plantar fasciitis but with these there is no discomfort even when standing for hours, or during hard workouts.

A cushioned orthotic, such as this one from Walk Hero, can relieve pain by absorbing shock across your whole foot. A deep heel drop will also ensure that your foot stays in a healthy posture from the moment you put your shoes on in the morning until you take them off at night.
These work for my plantar fasciitis in my heel. I just wish all the current pads came out of my shoes easily. These make them all a little tight if you have both the manufacturers pad and this one. I will wear these as often as I can. I walked over a mile yesterday with them on and had no pain after resting.

Trend Lab's insoles come in four different arch heights, including an X-High version for those with very high arches. You may also change the top cover with a unique 2-part system, which has medical-grade support similar to many custom orthotics.
I really needed proper arch support and these insoles did just that! I can now go for long walks without the bottom of my feet aching in pain. These insoles can make your shoes squeak but a little baby powder will do the trick. Would highly recommend for anyone with sore feet!
