I think there's a common misconception about this and all the other ice makers out there. They aren't freezers. All they do is make ice. Once your ice is made and it's sitting in the tray, it starts to slowly melt. It isn't designed to keep ice frozen all day.

Cycles last between 12 and 18 minutes, but you can choose how long they freeze by setting a timer. This may produce as much as 40 pounds of ice per day if used correctly. The product works really well, the size of cube variable isn't significant but the crush-quotient of the cubes is on par with the coveted crushed ice of movie theaters, the ice isn't hard to the tooth like freezer made cubes are.
