For inexperienced snowboarders, drinking water may seem to be unneeded. Isn’t it freezing outside, and you’re surrounded by water? Because you’re frequently at high altitudes and exerting your body hard, staying hydrated throughout the day is critical while hitting the slopes. The finest snowboarding hydration packs should be comfortable to wear all day, simple to manage the lift with, and protect your water from freezing. The greatest snowboarding water bladders are listed here!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do you need a hydration bladder?

Overall, persons who utilize hydration bladders can carry even huge quantities of water comfortably, and the sipping tube makes staying hydrated straightforward. As a result, hydration bladders are a must-have item for travelers and anybody planning longer travels.

How do you drink from a hydration bladder?

In your mouth, place the tube. Bite down on the tube and suck inwards, much as you would with a straw. Water should be able to exit the tube due to the suction force. Swallow the water until it’s gone, then let go of the drink tube. Attach it to the chest strap of your hydration pack.

How do you clean your bladder?

Fill the bladder halfway with warm water (not hot enough to scorch you), add a cleaning pill (or your own cleaning materials), close it, and shake it. Pinch open the bite valve until you see water coming out of it, then lift the reservoir up, allowing the tube to drape into the sink.

What is a hydration bladder?

A hydration pack, often known as a hydration bladder, is a hydration system that consists of a backpack or waistpack with a reservoir or “bladder” constructed of rubber or flexible plastic. The reservoir has a sealed mouth that may be filled with fluids and a hose that enables the user to sip without using their hands.

Our opinion:

Hot summer days on the route, or trail jogging in the blazing heat, may quickly turn a pleasant day into a dreadful, even dangerous situation. It’s critical to keep hydrated while while remaining cool. The ExtremeMist Misting and Drinking Hydration Backpack is the only bag on the market that can do both. With a drinking tube and misting system, you can hydrate on the go while experiencing a delightful, energizing mist. Your outdoor supplies are stored in mesh sections on the pack, and your water is kept cold by an insulated reservoir cover. With its easy drinking, misting, and storage systems, this pack can convert a hot day on the trail into a pleasant outdoor experience.

Zoid Ski Hydration Pack

Warm Hydration Pack

price from
$70.00
Our opinion:

The Zoid pack was created with snowboarding in mind. The water tube is shielded from the weather by being inside the pack’s shoulder strap. For further safety, there’s an extra insulated sleeve that protects the tube itself. The Zoid hits a good mix between having enough storage for water and other necessary little goods while also not being overly bulky. Although this pack has a modest profile, it is still simple to use on a chairlift. Because of its size, you may also wear it beneath your jacket. On most days, though, the sleeve pocket and insulated drinking tube should be enough to prevent water from freezing.

Promising review:

Skiing. Very durable. Have taken two violent hard hits on it. One cost me a helmet. Camelback Probably saved me some as it cushioned the impacts. Ended up in hospital with internal injuries on second hit. Bladder held up both times without any leaks in spite of taking on my body weight from height. Holds enough water for high altitudes and slim design works well on lifts.

Insulated Hydration Backpack

Insulated Drinking Tube Backpack

price from
$32.97
Our opinion:

This hydration pack is designed for jogging, but it has enough functions to be used for skiing or snowboarding as well. A 1.5L water bladder with an insulated drinking tube is included with the InnerFit pack. It also has a “thermal pouch” into which the bladder may be placed for further insulation. The pack is ergonomically constructed, which means it matches your body’s form and curves perfectly. This form fit has an extremely low profile that blends in with the chairlift and fits well under your jacket. The hip belt is also somewhat cushioned and hugs your sides, making it more comfortable than a standard webbing waistband.

Promising review:

I have used this backpack for the last three runs I did outside. It's very comfortable when running, love that i can put bug spray, food, etc in the other pockets without weighing it down. I like the extra straps to hold it in place when running too so it doesn't bounce all around. The water stays nice and cold. The last run I did it was warmer out so I ended up drinking it all rather quickly but still like the idea that the water is there when I need it as opposed to waiting until I can get some which is not good when you are trying to stay hydrated. No water has leaked so far.

Powder Hound 12 Hydration Pack

Versatile Hydration Pack

price from
$105.00
Our opinion:

The CamelBak Powderhound 12 is ideal for resort and backcountry skiers equally, with 12 liters of storage capacity and a 3-liter bladder. The shoulder strap’s insulated sleeve is ideal for safeguarding your water supply from the weather. There will be no more disappointments due to a frozen bite valve! The waist strap is also detachable, and the adjustable chest strap may be adjusted up or down for a unique fit. This CamelBak includes external straps that enable you to easily carry your skis or snowboard whether you have a lengthy walk from the parking lot or want to tackle a lot of hike-to terrain. Although not the cheapest choice, considering its adaptability and comfort, this pack is definitely worth the money.

Promising review:

Camelback definitely did this one right. Spent several weeks out in CO this past winter and had several friends also purchase this after they saw mine. The ability to pack your skis for hike-to runs is an awesome bonus feature that I used more than I thought I would.

Bootlegger Ski Hydration Pack

Great Insulation Hydration Pack

price from
$102.38
Our opinion:

Water does not freeze on the slopes due to the skier’s body heat combined with the insulation in this pack. If you wear the pack over your clothing, the water may freeze, so only do this in milder temperatures. Because to the mesh design, the shoulder straps are cool and comfortable. This pack will endure for years on the slopes thanks to a fully covered hose and a long-lasting zipper. There’s no room for storage since there’s so much insulation, yet it stops water from freezing. It’s one of the best methods to carry a hydration pack into the coldest parts of the world.

Promising review:

This beats all the other low profile 1.5L Camelbaks. Designed purely to carry 1.5L of water and nothing more so that it can be worn under a jacket. It is actually good for all season because the pack is minimal and helps dissipate body heat while the insulation keeps the water cool during the summer just as it keeps it warm in the winter. In addition, this is truly performance oriented unlike the other low profile packs as it has a double sternum strap and a double shoulder end strap design to minimize movement almost as if it had a lumbar strap like the Camelbak Octane XCT.

Good Safety Measure Hydration Pack

Our opinion:

This hydration pack’s huge capacity enables skiers to take everything they need on the slopes. External bungee straps attach a helmet, while ergonomic side stabilizers keep your weight balanced on your body and close to your waist. During a mountain fall, the 420D ripstop fabric protects the inside of the pack from ripping and damage. Security and safety are ensured by the key attachment and reflective safety tabs.

Promising review:

So lightweight its crazy. Love this little pack. Rinsed it out with a little dish soap and have had no real issue with plastic taste. Has more than enough room for the things I would take on a small day hike. Great less expensive alternative to camelbak. I have not been able to really test it to much, but so far looks great, we will see how it does when I hike CO this summer. I will update after the trip.

Our opinion:

The low profile and excellent ventilation of this hydration pack allow skiers to stay hydrated without losing control on the slopes. The pack is protected from being damaged or slipping out of place by the lightweight mesh harness. HydroGuard technology has been applied to the tube and bladder to assist prevent bacteria development and prolong the pack’s life. It’s not only one of the lightest, but also one of the smallest hydration packs on the market. The pack includes a durable exterior and a comfortable inside.

Promising review:

5 stars based on the unwrap! Really nice looking bag. Will be putting it to work at EDC Las Vegas next weekend. I was surprised how small the bag is and it only holds 50oz or 1.47 liters or 0.39 gallon or about 6 cups of water (not a ton but should hold my girl and I for a set or two). Will update as necessary.

Hydration Backpack for Kids

Our opinion:

This Hydration Pack is not only light, but it also has built-in safety features. It comes with a safety whistle and fluorescent shoulder straps for improved visibility in an emergency. To keep the backpack from wandering about while on the hill or mountain, the straps, both shoulders and chest, are easy to adjust. Furthermore, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the bladder’s design, ensuring that your water is safe to drink. It’s easier to clean, maintain, and even use on another backpack because of the bigger aperture.

Promising review:

Love this! I bought this for my 5 year old son, but my 2 year old is modeling it(he wears size 3t-4t, big for 2yrs). Everything was easy enough to figure out(I've never owned a water bag like this before). No leaks! If anything breaks or malfunctions I will update, if bothering goes wrong this review will be left as is. So far I'm loving it!

Insulated Hydration Backpack Pack

Cushioned Hip Belt Backpack

price from
$35.99
Our opinion:

The new Mubasel Gear hydration backpack has a capacity of roughly 15L and is totally waterproof, making it suitable for both cycling and skiing. It also contains a two-litre bladder that is insulated to prevent the water from freezing in the winter or overheating in the spring. Three storage pockets are included in the hydration pack, including one in front of the bag for compact things. It also has little zippered pockets on the front to keep smaller items organized. The cushioned hip belt makes carrying this bag more comfortable. The bladder is also leak-proof, since it is made of a durable and water-resistant polymer.

Promising review:

Wanted a lightweight, comfortable day pack with hydration. This was perfect & really worked well for our National Park hopping vacation. It had plenty of storage, kept my water cool (i added ice to the bladder & it was still cold at the end of the day.) I was able to fit snacks, jacket, camera, first-aid kit, maps, brochures, etc. All without a problem. Would definitely recommend.

SnoBlast Ski Hydration Pack

Large Capacity Hydration Pack

price from
$110.00
Our opinion:

By incorporating a tri-zip system into the SnoBlast, the manufacturer was able to solve the snowboarding issues. It features three zippers, one on each side and two on the top. Additionally, there is a 6 liter storage compartment for your extra travel accessories. The rear panel is intended to resist snow, allowing you to keep all of your travel items, passports, and other things safe when snowboarding. Aside from that, the hydration pack weighs 1.5 pounds and has a capacity of 21 liters. There’s also room for 2 liters of water. In addition, when you drink from the Crux reservoir, you get 20% more water.

Promising review:

This backpack was thin enough to not be a hindrance on the chair lifts, and could carry everything I needed for a full day on the slopes. As an added plus, the backpack is thick enough to act as a wonderful back-protection if/when falling on your back while skiing! 5/5
