One K helmets are a little more expensive, but they provide a lot larger range of fit and style than budget manufacturers. One K is especially designed for cyclists who have suffered previous head trauma or are apprehensive about falls. For safety, the product has been certified to ASTM and CE EN standards. The lining is machine washable, quick-drying, moisture-wicking, and antimicrobial.

Great fit. One of the few makers that have oval sizing. Love the interchangeable/washable liners. Vents allow head to keep cool in Texas heat. Down size is that crystals have fallen off in places.

Troxel make helmets intended for trail riding and western pleasure, although any helmet can be worn for Western or English riding as long as it fits safely and pleasantly. ASTM/SEI safety certification. SureFit Profit is more flexible to various head shapes and sizes. It’s available in four different colorways, all with a tough nylon and leather finish.

The helmet fits well after minor adjustment and is very protective and I like the look. I ride Western and this hat had a lower profile than the usual English riding helmets and the color blend in better for Western outdoor riding.

Other than the certificates, this is one of the overall top horse riding helmets that you can get for your kids. It isn’t your typical show helmet. The IRH Equi-Lite comes in up to six colors. This helmet is suitable for both show and trail riding.

I bought this helmet for my daughter. We only buy Charles Owen helmets, because they are the best! This helmet is light, and it has a removable liner. The silver reflects the sun and helps with cooling.

Troxel’s Spirit model isn’t as cheap as their Sport model, which we recommend. The removable liner can be machine cleaned to remove sweat. You won’t sweat too much in this helmet because it’s well ventilated. This helmet has a dial-fit mechanism for a snug fit. It’s difficult to get the right size helmet. Because each size spans less than half an inch, be sure to measure carefully.

Perfect, I followed the guidelines suggested but went towards the next size up for my 7 year old girl and it fits great. I feel more comfortable with her having her own helmet that fit securely. super cute too!

The Ovation helmet contains many vents that allow air to circulate through the helmet, reducing the amount of heat applied to the wearer. It has a washable removable liner, a detachable visor, and comes in sizes small enough for children! It also meets SEI and ASTM before, so you don’t have to worry about that. It’s a wise decision for you!

The only helmet that stays on… My daughter has a small for her age and all other extra small helmets do not fit. This is the only helmet that fits securely on her head while riding...

If you want to save money on your helmet, we recommend the Troxel Sport. It’s one of the greatest horse riding helmets for the money because it’s less expensive than most of the competition. Importantly, this helmet is ASTM and Safety Equipment Institute (SEI) certified, meaning Troxel didn’t skimp on safety. It’s cheaper than other helmets, but it’s still safe. Multiple vents make this helmet incredibly breathable. Easy to clean, the headliner can be removed and machine washed.

Had to buy a new one after I fell and hit my head. This helmet saved my head and possibly my life. I have ridden in these helmet for years and plan to continue!

This is a great helmet for all of us Tipperary fans. And the price is very reasonable for this type of protection in a stylish top cover. The pieces by your ear are leather and not adjustable but they are comfortable. If I had any criticism at all it would be airflow for riding here in Florida but that isn?t why I bought it. I feel much safer when wearing it.

The Miss Shield Shadowmatt’s exterior shell is constructed of polycarbonate, a material commonly used in high-end motorcycle helmets. It is painted with an anti-scratch mat. Tipperary sells an excellent, low-cost helmet called the Sportage 8500. Though not as intricate or configurable as other more expensive helmets, it does an excellent job of being both dependable and adaptable to a wide range of head shapes and professions. Because of the numerous vents, his helmet keeps you cool in the summer. It is ASTM/SEI certified in terms of safety. There’s no need to be concerned any longer!

Love Tipperary Sportage helmets and have worn them for many years. I live in tropical south Florida, and am very happy to be able to buy this helmet in white so that it's cooler to wear. Highly recommended.
