This Showman 420 denier quilted nylon blanket has a 420 denier outer shell, a 70 denier ripstop lining, 300-gram polyester fill, and nylon bound edges. The fitting, contoured form and shoulder gussets enable the horse to move freely while the fleece wither protection and tail cover hold the blanket in place. Standard open front with adjustable double buckle closures and secures with two adjustable surcingles under the horse’s belly and two adjustable leg straps for extra security.

The Dura-Tech® Viking Traditional Euro Turnout Blanket is intended to fit directly from the withers to the back, providing additional protection. To prevent leaks in the rain and snow, there is no back seam. Fleece at the wither for added comfort and rubbing resistance. The double-buckle front with Hook & Loop Closure enables you to modify the degree of snugness at the front of the chest to your liking. The smooth, shiny nylon inside is completely breathable and will keep your horse’s coat bright and dust-free.

Great blanket for the price, I have always used weatherbeta but this blanket was on sale and I am very happy with my purchase! It's outer shell is softer than a weatherbeta but repels rain, and mud well. Would recommend and buy again!

It is waterproof and I have layered it over a heavyweight stable blanket. Temps have been zero to 20 degrees and my mare has been warm. In a bad snow storm the snow piled up on the blanket but she stayed dry.

The expanded tail cover provides greater wind and weather protection. Extended gussets with 3M reflective patches and a tail stripe for increased visibility at sunset or during the nighttime pullout.

It doesn't get really cold here but it does get wet and my horses are out overnight so this turnout blanket works well keeping them dry but not too overheated (it is medium weight and usually it doesn't get below 30).

We have some of these that are over 15 years old, and with minimum maintenance and washing in a regular washing machine, have maintained their warmth and fit. Great blankets!
