Our horses were wasting too much hay with the metal hay racks. I thought it was our only option given the number of hay bags our warmblood gelding had destroyed. I took a chance on these hay bags and forked out the higher price. These bags are awesome. I have 4 and they are working perfectly. The horses love the more natural position and the hay waste is almost none! Time will tell if our destructive horse will start chewing through.,,,but he hasn’t yet which is amazing because he can destroy a cheap bag in one night.

This makes it a good choice for animals that are used to eating too rapidly or excessively. You won’t have to refill the Ultra Slow Feeder very often since it’s so enormous. The holes are also just the right size for older horses. It is easy to hang and clean, and it requires minimal time and effort. It also offers excellent value for money and a wide range of color choices. This is a challenging item. Even if the horse pulls or holds the net with its teeth, the net will not wear out soon.

I used this to make a slow feeder using a plastic barrel. It has been doing a great job and allows my horse just a little hay at a time. He grabs the whole net in his teeth and shakes it and then also nibbles at it with his lips and teeth. The net shows no wear and tear and performs great. I think it will last quite a while! I am impressed with the quality and the size of the openings are perfect for a slow feeder!
