Is there a maximum weight / height limit for the karts?
Although our karts have no specific weight limit, tall, short, or heavier drivers may find driving uncomfortable or may not be able to fit in the karts. Although we have plenty of drivers above this limit who compete with us every day, we propose a maximum height of 6’4″ and a maximum weight of 18 stone. If you’re unsure, come down to the track and we’ll give you a kart test.
What clothes should I wear to race?
Simple jeans and a T-shirt would fine, as will anything that allows you to sit and stretch without feeling restricted. Avoid wearing clothes that is excessively loose or that you would be embarrassed to get dirty. Trainers are the most appropriate footwear for racing because you will not be permitted to compete in anything with an open toe or high heels.
Does the go-kart have safety features?
Safety measures such as working brakes and a roll bar should be included in your child’s go-kart. The driver will be able to fit safely inside the go-kart thanks to an adjustable seat. It should also be equipped with safety straps. Rubber wheels are also required, not just for stability but also for the capacity to drive on various terrains.
