Finding a gaming keyboard that meets your demands, whether you’re a casual or serious player, may be difficult, particularly if you’re on a budget. However, if you truly want to update your keyboard for a more realistic gaming experience, there are several gaming keyboards that are quite inexpensive. Despite the fact that it lacks some of the capabilities found in more costly competitors, these keyboards provide much better value for the money. Here are some of the best gaming keyboards under $100.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is it worth it to buy an inexpensive gaming keyboard?

In general, the less expensive devices perform just as well as the high-end branded flagship models when it comes to gaming. If you’re on a tight equipment budget, as many gamers have been in the past, you can still enjoy PC gaming with a cheap gaming keyboard, particularly now that they’re more affordable than ever.

What should I expect to pay for a gaming keyboard?

There is no definite answer to how much you should spend on a gaming keyboard, however anything around or over $50 is suggested as being worth your time and money. With that stated, some of the cheaper models are also high-quality; at the end of the day, the feature set and construction choice will determine the final pricing.

Is it important to have macros on a cheap gaming keyboard?

It is not required if you wish to participate in professional competitive games. Because of their nature, macro keys are usually prohibited in esports tournaments. Allowing players to do numerous activities with a single keystroke may offer them a significant edge. However, if you need it for casual gaming or daily work that requires a large number of keystrokes, it may be required.

If I'm on a tight budget what should I acquire between a keyboard or a mouse?

If you’re on a budget and can’t afford the entire setup, make a list of what you use the most while gaming to help you decide whether to spend the money on a keyboard or a mouse. Although the mouse is your main means of navigation, the keyboard is used for numerous in-game activities. It’s not a simple choice, and it all relies on your gaming experience.

Our opinion:

The small design of this keyboard saves space, which is ideal if you require more mousing areas when gaming. It’ll also fit nicely into a travel backpack. The SignalRGB program allows you to customize the lighting on your keyboard for different effects during normal usage and while media, such as games, is playing. 3.
Razer
Cynosa V2 Gaming Keyboard

Spill Resistant Gaming Keyboard

price from
$49.99
Our opinion:

If you prefer a membrane keyboard for your office job, the Cynosa might be the gaming keyboard for you. The keys are silent and seem softer than a mechanical keyboard, which some people may find mushy. This keyboard has several unique features, such as RGB lights on each key and a spill-resistant construction. Razer has included cable routing behind the keyboard to help keep your workplace tidy. This keyboard is also one of the most customizable on the market. There are several preset lighting effects to choose from, and the Synapse 3.0 program also allows you to build your own.

Promising review:

I love this thing. Been using it for 1.5 years and it still holds up. Yes, this is a membrane keyboard. But honestly, I don't really care. It has full keycaps which is much appreciated, and full individually addressable RGB backlighting. So I totally understand why Razer decided to make this a membrane keyboard, it's designed for the people who want a pretty RGB keyboard but don't mind the lack of mechanical switches.

G413 Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Quiet Switch Gaming Keyboard

price from
$49.99
Our opinion:

With a brushed aluminum-magnesium alloy top casing, this keyboard boasts a small, simple, and robust design. It features a braided USB cable with a USB passthrough connection on the rear right and mouse and headset cable management channels beneath. When triggered, the tactile key switch is very quiet, with just a little bump and a brief activation. The G413 can be customized using Logitech’s G Hub software, which allows you to put macros and custom functions on the F1-F12 keys, as well as a gaming mode that disables the Windows key. Overall, it’s a well-made mechanical gaming keyboard that you can get.

Promising review:

Outstanding keyboard. Build quality and tactile feel are a league above the asking price on amaozn right now (~$80). Bought this to write papers on, and it is a pleasure to use. Backlighting is consistent and can be turned down fairly low.

Our opinion:

The G613’s Lightspeed wireless operates as well as wired, and the device’s battery life is impressive, lasting up to 18 months on two AA-size batteries. Although this keyboard does not have RGB illumination, it does have a decent battery-saving function that allows you to use it for a lengthy gaming session. There are six customizable buttons on the left side, which is a plus. For gaming and typing, you can acquire a decent feel for this switch. If you have the opportunity, you should absolutely test it before you purchase this wireless keyboard.

Promising review:

The Logitech G613 is a wonderful wireless keyboard, and it has a nice heft to it, its not light, and that feels nice. Its a solid keyboard, and the typing feels soo nice, compared to my old Keyboard.

Our opinion:

This keyboard is jam-packed with gaming capabilities, including the ability to assign macros to any key and six additional macro keys on the left. It has complete RGB lighting and individually-lit keys that you can modify with the iCUE software, which is available for Windows and macOS. The latency is also quite minimal, which is fantastic. The keyboard features one inclination setting and wrist rest, so it shouldn’t be too tiring to use for lengthy gaming sessions. The keys are quite quiet, so they won’t annoy others.

Promising review:

Working from home and wanted a nice standard keyboard with some flair. Easy to use software for color changes and tweaks. Keys are not silent but not loud either and comfortable to type on for extended periods.

Z20 RGB Optical Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Full Sized Gaming Keyboard

Our opinion:

With EVGA’s Unleash RGB software, you may reprogram or apply macros to a large number of keys on this full-sized keyboard. The keypads are relatively light to press and have a short pre-travel distance, so pressing a key doesn’t take long, allowing you to respond rapidly to in-game operations. The latency is also incredibly low, so there will be no noticeable delay. It also incorporates a Time of Flight sensor that you can use to lock/unlock your keyboard or adjust lighting effects based on how close you are to the keyboard or how far away you are from it.

Our opinion:

This keyboard has RGB illumination that you can customize, dedicated media keys, a volume control wheel, and macros that you can assign to any key. Already, it’s a long list of added features that you’d expect to see on more expensive boards. This keyboard is also hot-swappable, meaning you may replace the switches without turning the computer off. This keyboard provides good performance and a surprising variety of high-end features at a reasonable price, making it an ideal pick.

Promising review:

The fit and feel of this keyboard is great. Keys are decisive and have the right click and feel for my liking. Considering the price it was sold for at the time it was a bargain. The RGB lighting is nice and has a good amount of options.

K63 Wireless Special Edition

Multi Devices Pairing Gaming Keyboard

$99.19
Our opinion:

It’s a TenKeyLess keyboard, which means it lacks a numeric keypad. Because your keyboard doesn’t have a Numpad, it takes up less space on your desk and allows you to move your mouse about more freely. It connects wirelessly through a USB receiver or Bluetooth, and you may couple up to two devices at the same time. It has excellent ergonomics, with one inclination setting and a wrist rest. It contains linear Cherry MX switches that work with very little effort. In-game, they seem light and responsive.

Promising review:

This product is a very good keyboard, I got recommend this keyboard by a friend. The keyboards media buttons are quite useful. There is a function in the keyboard that lights up the keys so you could even type in the dark. The lights are quite soothing in my opinion

Compact Size Gaming Keyboard

price from

Our opinion:

The size of this keyboard is compact, which is a benefit. If you’re playing FPS games with a low-sensitivity mouse, utilizing this compact keyboard gives you more room to maneuver your mouse about. It connects wirelessly, and you can use Bluetooth to link it with up to four devices at once, which is ideal if you have a multi-device setup, such as if you game on your computer while chatting on your phone or tablet. It comes in a range of clicky, linear, and tactile switches, including Cherry MX, Kailh, and Gateron switches.

Promising review:

The Anne pro 2 keyboard is both a wired and wireless (Bluetooth capable) 60% keyboard in which you can choose your preferred key switches. Personally, I like clicky, so I chose the kailh box white switches, and they are VERY nice. The keyboard’s wireless feature is a plus, though I don’t use it very often as I use this keyboard for my desktop. I have used it with my phone and my laptop before.
