I like to feed my Siamese cat Mali a balanced diet. While she enjoys her kibbles, I always give her a small amount of wet food too. She loves the gravy and the grain free blends keep her healthy.

This food, as a renal diet for cats, is nutritious, dry cat food with a veterinarian composition. Protein, calcium, phosphorus, and salt levels are also closely monitored on this food. The omega 3 fatty acids docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and glucosamine and chondroitin will work together to preserve joint function and keep your cat mobile.

Recommended by my cat's vet. My cat is in stage 3 kidney failure. He loves this food and his coat is nice and shiny. Also vomits much less now.

Despite the fact that this food is labeled as a “Veterinary Diet,” it is available without a prescription from a veterinarian. This meal is formulated with glucosamine and chondroitin for joint health support, in addition to normal renal diet features. This food has slightly more phosphorus and somewhat less protein than comparable renal care products. 

Smoke and his two sisters are all on a Kidney Diet. To find something they will all eat has been next to impossible. Thankfully Blue Buffalo has a taste and consistency unlike some of the other pate type foods, so everyone eats it. Variety is the spice of life, but when they get this treat the bowls come back empty. I also like that it has Mobility Support too. As all three are seniors, any help they can get to keep them moving comfortably is a bonus.

Royal Canin is a great food choice. Renal and kidney diet are excellent. My cat's choice of kibble over the last decade has definitely changed. First she was on Aromatic, then Savory, and now Flavorful. She really likes the high calorie/quality foods.

Purina’s renal diet food is only available with a veterinarian prescription and performs everything a normal renal diet does. Protein levels are under control, phosphorus and salt levels are low. What’s more, B-complex vitamins are added to help your cat digest nutrition and feel healthier.

She turns her nose up at the other canned renal care brands. Why does she love this? I do not know. But she does, so that rates 5 stars by me!
