Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is it legal to bring tactical flashlight?
The carrying and usage of tactical flashlights by civilians is totally lawful. Tactical flashlights are lawful to use and carry since they are not clearly weapons and are just a modification of a basic LED flashlight. Tactical flashlights may be a powerful self-defense weapon in the right hands.
What is a flashlight?
A flashlight is a portable electric lamp that may be carried in one’s hand. A conventional flashlight has a light source positioned in a reflector, a clear cover (sometimes paired with a lens) to protect the light source and reflector, a battery, and a switch, all of which are contained in a container.
What is a lumen?
Lumens are a unit of measurement for how much light a bulb produces. A higher lumen count indicates a brighter light, whereas a lower lumen count indicates a dimmer light. Lumens allow you to purchase the exact quantity of light you want. When purchasing light bulbs, consider lumens rather than watts. The brightness, or lumen levels, of the lights in your house, might vary significantly.
How does a flashlight work?
The tungsten filament or LED in the lamp starts to glow when it is triggered by power, creating visible light. This light is reflected by the reflector that surrounds the bulb. The reflector redirects the lamp’s light rays, resulting in a constant beam of light that you see coming from the flashlight.

Magicshine
MOD 20
Small Tactical Flashlight
MOD 20 is a high-capacity, small torch with excellent performance. Everyday carry is possible with this bag. The lamp is equipped with a high-efficiency CREE XP-L2 LED, which produces a maximum output of 1100 lumens and has a beam throw of 200 meters. The beam light is very bright, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The head of this device is very tiny and slender in form. This product has a tail switch with both momentary-on and constant-on functions, which is useful for tactical purposes.
I love this MOD20. But with use comes them drops. The finish holds up great. Had lots of drops with hardly a mark but it had a big drop Saturday night. Light didn’t flicker or nothing. It just keeps pumping out light. It is the most robust light I’ve got. When I tell my son grab The tank he knows to get the Magicshine. I hope to see more flashlights from Magicshine

Fyland
Tactical Flashlight for Emergencies
Portable Tactical Flashlight
This portable tactical flashlight comes with everything you need to mount it on a rifle, as well as two 18650 rechargeable batteries for long-lasting illumination. The best part is that the batteries are pre-charged, allowing you to start using the flashlight immediately. Because it is made of 6061T aluminum, this light has a very sturdy feel about it. In order to withstand rough handling, it has appropriate water resistance when exposed to rain. This product has a high degree of adaptability built-in from the beginning. The pressure switch may be mounted almost anywhere on the rail by the user. Even at 328 feet away, it can easily illuminate a target, and the 1200 lumens of brightness makes a nice hotspot with a splash that gives great coverage with a powerful center beam.
Came in pretty good packaging for what it is. Batteries charged and ready to go. LED is plenty bright for for a short to mid range weapon light. Tail cap has a crisp tactile and audible click on/off. Pressure switch has both on/off and momentary on. The mount is sturdy and has just enough offset to clear most rail systems. Over all I give it 5 stars at this price point.

GearLight
S1000 LED Flashlight Pack
Weatherproof Flashlight
This military pocket flashlight’s adjustable focus is a useful feature. The narrow beam can be used to illuminate a raccoon from a distance of 1000 feet. When you wish to inspect the whole field at night, the broad beam comes in helpful. This tiny tactical flashlight has a maximum output of 1040 lumens in ideal conditions. It also has five other settings, including a strobe that may utilize to confuse opponents. This flashlight is almost weatherproof since it continues to function even after being wet in rain or frozen in the cold.
I needed a flashlight on the farm. Sometimes, I need to go out in the fields at night to check cows and I like to see what I'm getting into. I bought these based on the excellent reviews. When I opened it I was disappointed because they are small and only take 3 AAA batteries. I didn't think they would do the job but they do!!! I can see over a 1000 ft with these and scan all the fields. I spotted a possum over 1000 ft. I would recommend these. I bought a set for all my children and parents.

Olight
Marauder 2 Rechargeable Flashlight
Rechargeable Floodlight
With 14,000 lumens, the Marauder 2 gives all the power you’ll ever need. It also makes the most of all of its LEDs (there are 13 in total) by having two modes: throw and flood. Throw shoots a beam up to 800 meters using the core LED and the deep reflector. However, because this throw is a very tight square shape, the area it illuminates is limited. Flood mode, on the other hand, makes use of the surrounding 12 LEDs to create a smoother, wider beam that can reach 14,000 lumens. Between those two extremes, there are helpful options like 200 lumens, which is more than enough to light up a small room and can last for 40 hours.
Supper bright and easy operation. Selecting bright was is with a turn dial button instead of holding down the button while on as with most Olights. Take a little getting used to but still very easy to adapt. Spotlight is a pretty cool addition. Definitely throws the light very far, it’s like a large square laser beam! Overall nice upgrade from original marauder. It is a little bigger and heavier so if you thought the marauder was already too big this might not suit you.

ThruNite
TT20 Tactical Flashlight
Affordable Tactical Flashlight
It’s one of the most affordable high-quality flashlights with a 21700 battery, and it’s also one of the most powerful, with a maximum brightness of 2,526 lumens. It sports a high-capacity 5000mAh battery and is charged through USB-C. Battery use may be optimized since it offers the broadest choice of modes in its class. It can operate at half a lumen for up to 64 days in this mode. At 31 lumens, it’s expected to last 90 hours. As a result, it’s also an excellent tactical/self-defense flashlight.
Bought this for my boyfriend who has become quite the flashlight collector. It is very bright and easy to use doesn’t get too overheated using the high setting . Would recommend. Thank you

WUBEN
C3 Rechargeable Flashlights
Versatile Low Cost Flashlight
The Wuben C3 offers a variety of settings that increase its adaptability and allow it to operate for longer periods of time. It can be turned down to 5 lumens for 143 hours, 80 lumens for 20, and 400 lumens for 3.5 hours. For one minute, the maximum mode is 1,200 lumens, after which it automatically reduces to 500 lumens for an advertised 2.5 hours. It’s built of high-quality metal, with a high-quality LED, and comes with a five-year guarantee. It’ll certainly do the job, and it’s a great deal for a full-featured light.
I tried various flashlights from under $20 to about $60 (Klarus, Deseeker, etc) and they all had issues and flaws that made me return them. This Wuben is is very small and portable, but also very bright and doesn't heat up too much. I like the tactical switch and wanted something that lets me access the strobe quickly for emergencies. Battery lasts a long time, and I use it for a bike light too with an O-light rubber handlebar adapter and it's great. The 400 lumens setting plenty bright for night riding use and the brightest setting is like a car headlight. This flashlight is a winner. Hopefully it keeps working for a long time.

Olight
S2R II 1150 Lumens EDC Flashlight
Small Daily Use Flashlight
The Olight S2R Baton II is one of the smallest 18650-powered flashlights on the market, measuring just under 4″ in length and 0.9″ in diameter. It can even fit into your jeans coin pocket. This thing is a beast, with a maximum brightness of 1,150 lumens and a surprisingly large battery. It can last 60 days at half a lumen, 100 hours at 15 lumens, 14 hours at 120 lumens, and 4 hours at 400 lumens. Its turbo mode, which can be accessed by pressing the button twice whether it’s on or off, produces 1,150 lumens and is easy to access at a moment’s notice. These modes take care of the majority — if not all — of your daily tasks and protect you in the event of an emergency.
This brand is terrific. One of my home inspectors bought an Olight a few months ago and it's like shining daylight into the crawl spaces under the houses and in the attics. Even more importantly, we use this flashlight to shine on walls and show defects/issues while inside on a bright sunny day and it STILL lights everything up as though it's in darkness. This is our official brand of flashlight for home inspections.

Fenix Flashlights
E01 V2 100 Lumen LED flashlight
Durable Keychain Flashlight
This is a basic flashlight with enough brightness and adaptability to perform what it claims to do, plus a little more. It runs on a single AAA battery, which may be swapped out for a rechargeable Ni-MH to minimize acid leaks and the need to purchase new batteries every few months. It’s simple to use: just twist the cap to switch between the three settings. The fact that this model has more than one setting already puts it ahead of many other keychain lights. The light life is 25 hours for 5 lumens, 5 hours for 25 lumens, and 50 minutes for 100 lumens.
This is a great camping and backpacking flashlight. I have a similar sized AAA olight and while it is very well made it only has one brightness setting that lasts about an hour. This has a medium and low setting which is great when you don't need the full brightness. The lowest setting is bright enough for me to hike with once my eyes have adjusted.

Nitecore
Tip SE Black 700 Lumen EDC Keychain Flashlight
Rechargeable Keychain Flashlight
The amount of light emanating from the palm of your hand in turbo mode is 700 lumens, which may appear overpowering. Even so, it could be useful for a short glance in a dark parking lot or in an alley. You aren’t confined to that light choice, of course. It also offers a 50-hour-long 1-lumen mode, as well as shorter 30- and 180-lumen modes that last 8 and 1.5 hours, respectively. It has an IP54 water splash rating, which means it may be gently wet without causing damage, and the exposed port won’t be harmed since it’s USB type C, which is IPX8 certified. As with other USB-C devices, the TIP SE may be charged at your work, in your vehicle, or on your nightstand.
It's pretty incredible how bright this little light can get. I use it on the bright setting for a minute or two every night to keep an eye on the dogs in the back yard and it is still on its initial charge from right after I bought it, a month or so ago. I like that it's small enough to clip onto my hat if I need my hands free while working on a dimly lit space. It's well constructed with solid materials, too. Very pleased!

Streamlight
88061 ProTac 1L-1AA 350-Lumen
Powerful Budget Flashlight
The Protac 1L-1AA is a tiny, powerful flashlight that can be powered by either a disposable CR123 lithium battery or an AA (lithium, alkaline, or rechargeable Ni-MH). It may be set to work on high alone, high/low, or high/low/strobe modes. High, low, and strobe are the factory default settings, and you may access them by half-pressing the tail switch. It can produce 350 lumens for 1.5 hours or 40 lumens for 14 hours with a CR123 battery. It lights at 150 lumens for 1.20 hours or 40 lumens for 7.5 hours when using a conventional AA battery, while run periods may be longer when using a lithium AA.
Absolutely fantastic! I'm a retired state trooper and in the Army Reserve. This light is beyond belief at over 620 lumens! I refuse to pay for a Surefire light when this one is 1/4 to 1/3 the cost for a top shelf product. I compared it to my Army issued Surefire and the Streamlight was of comparable quality and WAY brighter, not to mention smaller. A buddy of mine on a local SWAT team was very impressed with this light.
