Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How does a game controller work?
On the bottom of each button, there is a piece of metal. When the button is pushed down, it comes into contact with two conductive strips on the circuit board, completing the circuit. The controller detects the connection and provides data to the processor of the device with which it is connected.
Can I play PC games by controller?
Yes, you can use a controller to play PC games. Simply connect the dongle (if wireless) or USB (if wired) to your PC, and most games will automatically set up the Game controller for you, or you can change it in the game settings. If you’re having trouble configuring your gamepad, you can utilize controller emulator software to help you out. It’s quite simple and useful.
How to clean a game controller?
Scrub hard-to-reach locations like the buttons and joysticks with a Q-tip to remove dirt and grime. This can be made easier by dipping the Q-tip in a solution of water and alcohol or water and dish soap. Grab a toothpick to clean out the controller’s seams and tight crevices. The tip is gentle enough not to harm the casing and will dig out any debris caught in the cracks. You can also use the edge of a folded sheet of paper for this.
What is a game controller?
A game controller, often known as a gaming controller or just a controller, is an input device used with video games or entertainment systems to provide input to the game, usually to control an item or character. A simple dial and single button was one of the original video game controllers, and it was used to control the game Tennis for Two. Directional pads, numerous buttons, analog sticks, joysticks, motion sensing, touch displays, and a slew of other features have since been added to controllers.

Mixbox
Black Edition
Mechanical Combat Stick
The Mixbox adds a novel twist to the traditional combat stick. It moves to utilize mechanical Cherry MX key switches, similar to those used on mechanical keyboards, rather than a stick. The remainder of the package is Sanwa Denshi typical buttons. The Mixbox is great for players who grew up with keyboard fighters, but it also offers the extra benefit of a traditional fighting-game button layout.

PlayStation
DualShock 4 Wireless Controller
Low Latency Standard Controller
Rather than a sophisticated stick or a stickless box, more top players are opting for a standard gaming controller. Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is designed specifically for pad players, while Dragon Ball FighterZ works surprisingly well with a normal controller. When connected through USB, the latest PS4 controllers, which feature a little strip of light on the touchpad, offer reduced latency.
First time using these second generation controllers. They definitely don't disappoint! The matte texture definitely gives you a better grip! I like the little added light bar. Gives it a nice little touch without bothering you during games.

Razer
Panthera Tournament Arcade Fight Stick
Professional Fight Stick Controller
If you’re looking for some serious hardware, the Razer Panthera is the way to go. Many fighting-game professionals choose this stick because of the smoothness of its gate, enough area, Sanwa Denshi buttons, and an easy-to-open board. It is, of course, completely configurable. The PCB (printed circuit board) is also flashable, which means Razer may provide updates for the stick that you can download and improve.
Great fightstick for a fighting game novice such as myself. Works well, has a nice Dragon Ball FighterZ design to it, and is super easy to use. Had to download a driver to make it work on my Windows 10 PC, but otherwise has been a joy to use.

Qanba
Dragon Joystick
Metal Case Joystick
It’s a full-metal casing with Sanwa buttons and a joystick that’s quite pleasant to use. The joystick features a nice chrome head, and the buttons are fast and responsive. Because this stick is designed for the PlayStation 4, one of the additional buttons is a touchpad, which makes it even simpler to explore without having to switch to a regular controller while setting up games. It’s also simple to remove the hood, which provides extra storage space for components as well as space for a few other items. You could probably fit everything you need for the day on the stick itself, which is convenient given how uncomfortable it is to travel with.
The fight stick is absolutely amazing. Fully metal, very durable, customizable, and very responsive. I did plenty of research before buying but I have to say I was still blown away. Definitely the perfect present for anyone who enjoys fighting games. It's just like old times in the arcade.

Hori
Fighting Stick Mini 4
Entry Level Fighting Stick
The Hori Fighting Stick Mini 4 is a smaller and less expensive arcade stick that is a better beginning point for individuals who don’t want to spend a lot of money on their first arcade stick. This small gentleman is approximately 8 inches by 6 inches and weighs only 2 pounds, making it the most convenient to transport to events or friends’ homes. It straddles the line between being small and not being cramped in your hands while using it. The stick and buttons will feel alright, nothing extraordinary, and it will be held in place by rubber grips. Overall, this is a fully functional arcade stick for anybody in need of a basic and easy-to-transport backup or who wants to try one out before investing in more expensive ones.
Got it as an intro stick for fighting games and it serves its purpose very well. I feels good to use and very responsive to me. Would recommend to other noobs like me who don't want to drop down $150 on an arcade stick just yet.

Hori
Fighting Commander
Excellent Fighting Gamepad
The Hori Fighting Commander line of controllers is designed specifically for fighting games and is ideal for anybody who likes to have a tight grasp on their game rather than imitate an arcade cabinet. The Hori, unlike other default controllers, features a good-feeling D-pad, six buttons on the face, a turbo button, and all the other essential inputs. To minimize sliding or unintentional inputs, the buttons and controller are somewhat larger than typical. They are also flat rather than curved. Even if fighting games aren’t your major genre, it’s reasonably priced and worth owning.
I am exclusively a Mortal Kombat and Injustice player when it comes to fighting games. I have been using this controller since MKX. The durability of this controller is unmatched by any pad on the market. Accuracy is at your finger tips once you break this controller in. I will not use any other controller for fighting games until they stop making this controller or stop making a converter that will allow me to use it during the next generation. Buy this with confidence.

Razer
Raion Fightpad
Gamepad with Headphone Port
The Raion Fightpad is uncomplicated, direct, and straight to the point. You get a comfy and robust casing, as well as a great-feeling D-pad, responsive and flat buttons with a mechanical switch to turn them on and off. It’s incredibly adaptable, with added features like a touchpad and share buttons, as well as a dedicated switch for switching from PS4 to PC depending on where you’re playing. You may also disable these buttons to minimize unintentional pauses, which is always a plus. A headphone port is also included, which is something that many specialized combat gamepads lack. Razor also says that this is one of the toughest gamepads on the market, with each face button rated at 80 million pushes.
Its making loud clicking sounds isn't really a bad thing. Helps me know if I hit the buttons. All I'm doing is adjusting to it's layout and the speed in which it responds. Holy hell is it responsive, I love wired controllers and it's been a while since I've had one. The D-pad is way better than I thought it would be. It feels like it will last a good while.
