Chronicles of Narnia – The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe

A Well-made Fantasy Book Series Ever

price from

Our opinion:

The Chronicles of Narnia is one of the best fantasy series ever written, and preteens and teenagers will like it. Peter Pevensie, Susan Pevensie, Edmund Pevensie, and Lucy Pevensie travel through a wardrobe door to reach Narnia. Narnia is a land that has been captured by the White Witch’s magic and has been frozen in time. The fact that Aslan came back at a time when there didn’t appear to be any hope at all is a metaphor for great change and the ultimate sacrifice.

Our opinion:

Seven dragon tribes have been at odds for millennia for a long-lost treasure. However, a secret organization known as the Talons of Peace is attempting to put an end to the violence. It is stated that if five dragonets are kidnapped and imprisoned in a dungeon, they will bring peace. Dragonets are not all the same. There is much more to this story than anyone expected when they planned the revolution. You may transport your child back in time by reading a book about dragons to them.

Eragon

Our opinion:

Eragon, who is fifteen years old, thinks that a poor country boy found a refined blue rock in the forest. But when the stone brings a baby dragon, Eragon quickly learns that he has found a story that is almost as old as the Empire itself. Not only is the series fun to read, but the author’s life story is also very uplifting. Christopher Paolini wrote the first draft of this book when he was only 15 years old. Then, he started showing it to his parents when he was 16 and decided to publish it himself.

Promising review:

"I gave this book a five star rating because I liked how the author depicted Eragon's determination to help others, no matter the cost. I also liked how Eragon was determined to fight for what was right and he believed in."
