It seems to work good. Use my shop vac and it will work very good. Sands flat. Not hook an loop. Sandpaper clamps work. Happy with sander. Would buy again.

This is a typical issue with random orbit sanders, but Bosch has worked out a solution to solve it.

I have a quarter sheet and random orbit sander for woodworking. This sander blows them away when it comes to removing a lot of material fast and without burning. Its very powerful and has a turbo mode for faster removal. It has quickly become my go to sander. Definitely worth the money.

The trigger on this device features a lock button. When you’re switching hands or need to run the sander for an extended amount of time, this is beneficial. It never overheated, even after hours of usage, which is something power tools are infamous for. The sander’s hefty metal clamps on each end are simple to operate. It merely takes a few seconds to replace the paper, and it was always kept firmly in place with little risk of loss or slippage. Because of the built-in balancing mechanism, there was very minimal vibration with this sander.

I am an old time woodworker having been in business since 1978 and this is the BEST finish sander I have ever owned. Also it is much easier on my tired wrists and ears, if you want a good sander that helps you be a perfectionist then buy it NOW. Mr C

The pressure gauge lights seem to function as expected. Because low-power sanders may get clogged if they are subjected to too much pressure, this is a fantastic concept. The bottom pads are completely compatible with universal orbital Velcro sandpaper. With this very inexpensive sander, you may get a beautiful result and a smooth surface. This specific SKIL sander is ideal for small-scale DIY projects like fixing kitchen cabinets.

Just upfront, the dust container that came with this never so much as got taken out of the plastic it came in. I hook this up to a shop dust collector. That said, there's rarely any cleanup after. Switching discs is super easy, and I'm getting fantastic results with minimal effort. Don't let the price fool you. This is a quality piece of equipment.

It’s aggravating when you stain a polished wood object and all the swirl marks appear on the surface that were previously unseen. The secret to a swirl-free wood finish is to use a sander with a smaller stroke, such as this one. Even after staining, there will be no visible marks with a 5/64′′ (2.0 mm) stroke and 80 to 120 grit sandpaper. The sander is the lightest of its type, weighing just 2 pounds. So, sanding vertically or overboard after mounting anything is no longer a concern. You may change the pace from strong to soft by dialing 1 to 6 based on your needs.

This was my first investment into a festool product and I honestly could not be happy. Not only does it outsand every other orbital sander I’ve ever used it does it quietly and with much much less vibration which can cause unintended micro gouging in your finished product . The price was the only downside , but you usually get what you pay for and this sander definitely is worth every penny .

I love this tool. When I found out that there’s a palm sander with an adjustable speed, I looked for it right away on Amazon and found this unit. I used it all day yesterday as we were re-staining the deck and replaced the hand rails. My wrists were fine unlike that time when I used my husband’s palm sander (not sure what brand it is). I highly recommend it.

This Porter-Cable sander has just enough power to do modest work. This random orbit sander is small and light, making it perfect for both DIY and professional use. The dual-plane counterbalanced fan on this sander helps to prevent user fatigue over long periods of time.

nice little sander. the dust catcher falls off immediately. Probably use a short sheet metal screw through it to hold it on. This is a product flaw never corrected by Porter Cable. foolish approach from them. I have owned several of these models so other than the stupid dust catcher pretty flawless. I have several other sanders costing more but they all seem to have missed the mark on dust management.
