Because the Ray plugs straight into an ordinary electric outlet, operators may sand ‘on-site.’ The tool’s power source is built-in, with a ‘direct wire’ design that makes setup and operation simple. I was skeptical about this from some reviews. I'm an amateur at home repairs, but never afraid to learn and try a new project. I scraped my popcorn ceilings and wanted to sand them for painting. I bought this and found it great to work with. Once I got the rhythm down, I made great progress. I used it with a 16 gallon shopvac with a fine filter. It felt sturdy and got the job done. I'm pleasantly surprised with the tool.

This Makita belt sander will not disappoint professionals searching for an industrial-grade belt sander. It’s one of the finest drywall sanders for heavy-duty drywall sanding, and it doesn’t need much pressure to get the job done thanks to its weight. It’s quieter than comparable professional belt sanders, comes with a dust bag for lesser projects, and is nicely balanced for such a big hand sander. This machine comes with a 10-pack of coarse grit paper.

This thing is a beast!! If you have heavy duty sanding to do this tool is for you. Warning this thing is powerful and not for the faint of heart. If your not used to running power tools their 8.8 amp variable speed modle 9404 might be a better choice for you.

Love this sander! Works way better than my old one & collects the dust too! Even has a tool to punch holes in sandpaper so dust tool works. I was worried since I never see 1/4 in sheets with holes in them but the hole puncher worked great! So glad I bought this & the price is amazing to.

I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much given the price. My only regret is that I didn’t order this sooner. This truly is a dust free experience. Iv tried using my other sander with a shop vac I even tried it with a fireplace vacuum given it’s meant for fine dust still dust everywhere. But with this sander no vacuum just the sander and the provided bag. I am shocked how well it works. Would definitely suggest to anyone that has more then a little sanding to do on there dry wall.

I have used it to sand down two cars and two trucks before I painted them and it worked great so even if kicked the bucket today I feel for the money I spent for it, it was a good purchase.

My old sander was so hard on my hands I couldn't use it anymore without severe after effects. Shopped around Amazon reviews and somebody said this was not hard on their hands. Bought and couldn't be more pleased! Back to working on projects involving an 1890's house and antique furniture!
