I have been polishing cars for 35+ years. I have always done wax and polish application by hand because of damage caused by many of the devices. Use this for the first time this week and must say that I would have loved to have it 35 years ago. Entire car was waxed and then buffed by hand in less than 30 minutes.

Very impressive! I wouldn't call it a Rupes killer but it's so smooth and so well balanced. For the price, it's amazing! I have the original M21 (non pro addition) as well and this machine feels so much better in every way. I still like the original, don't get me wrong. The pro edition is just buttery smooth.

It performs well, is lightweight (weighing just 2.9 pounds), and the reduced height lets you work much closer to surfaces while completing prep work. The tool has a good center of gravity, is strong enough (the 3.0Amp motor rotates the sanding disc pad at 12000 OPM), and includes a well-designed dust collecting bag that works well. The Hook and loop (velcro) mechanism makes using the gadget and changing out sanding discs a snap.

I love it. Had my round sand paper ready when it arrived and went to work. Great sander, doesn't dig down since it orbits really well. Got a picnic table done so fast I couldn't believe it!

Really good sander for the price. I used it to sand a large fiberglass pool. Switched out the backer pad to accommodate the curves in the pool and used this sander for 6+ hours continuously over a few days. Surprisingly better than my Makita and Milwaukee sanders that cost more $$.

The simple variable speed adjustment (4000 – 12000 OPM), the easy-to-grip design (the handles provide additional alternatives for holding the tool, decreasing fatigue), and everyone’s favorite hook and loop mechanism for replacing pads are all highlights. Furthermore, the huge two-finger on/off switch is easily located, and the switch locks into the “on” state, so you don’t have to press the button the whole time. Even in narrow spaces, movement is simple — just adjust/unscrew the handle when sanding tight edges. With this electric sander for automobile bodywork, there’s a tiny bag that gathers dust, so there’s less clean-up.

Ive used festool sanders before and admittedly they're better but theyre 4 times the cost. The festool is NOT 4 times better than this makita, its not even twice as good. Its just a little better, a little smaller and light and a little smoother. Thats it. Don't waste your money on a snader the price of a table saw, thia makota works great
