This gadget is a wireless detector that uses passive infrared (PIR) technology to detect big animals, humans, and cars up to a 1 mile radio range. The alert kit may be used as a backyard monitor, an entry alert, or a driveway alarm by home and business owners. When the alert kit detects motion, it will sound an alarm tone, which comes in 12 distinct tones. The alarm is configured with a five-minute departure delay, allowing you to leave your home without accidentally setting off the alarm system. Depending on the setting you choose, the alarm kit measures areas of 30, 50, or 80 feet wide.

I needed a replacement for my previous Dakota alert that was about 12 years old. This product arrived quickly, works great and I am very pleased with it. I have the sensor about 500 feet from my home and the receiver is located inside. It's working great and I am hopeful this one will last as long as the previous one.

A quarter mile between the sensor and the receiver is possible with the Guardline Wireless Driveway Alarm. Weatherproof and interference-free sensors are included, and receivers have a battery backup as well as a 12-volt relay for connecting to extra external alarms. The Guardline driveway alarm may be expanded to incorporate up to 16 sensors, or four zones, each with four sensors and one receiver.

This product works as advertised, simple to set up and appears robust. If I had one gripe it would be the 32 different melodies and all thirty-two stink! An alarm should give an alarm sound, not a bunch of foo-foo girly ringtones. A klaxon bell as in general quarters, an aah-oo-ga collision alarm....something manly and John Wayne-ish. If MS-13 is rolling into my driveway to kill me, I don't need the theme from "Indiana Jones" to wake me up. Grow a pair, Guideline!

The Chamberlain base system comes with a single sensor and receiver. You can add up to three more sensors later, but you’ll have to purchase them separately. The receiver emits a visual and auditory alert when someone (or anything) crosses the sensor’s line. The sensor can detect motion from up to 30 feet away and connect with a receiver that is up to half a mile away. You may carry the receiver into the yard with you since it operates on AA batteries or an AC converter.

Love it! Love the manufacturers product support. Rrfreshing. This product works exceptionally well. Period. Performs without hesitation. The unit is battery operated which means it works with power outages. Plus, Inside alarm is 120 volt "and" battery backup. We have a couple of these and the dogs respond correctly to the located of the alerts, based on the number of beeps. If the grid goes down, no problem.

I've had this alarm now for 6 months and I'm blown away with its accuracy. I live on a couple of acres and the family and I know that when we hear the alarms signal - someone is actually there, either on foot or in a vehicle. The only false alarm we ever receive is when 2 Sandhill Cranes (very large birds) that live in my neighborhood walk through my gate setting off the alarm. But, that's not actually a false alarm.

The Safety Technology sensor might be 1,000 feet distant from the receiver. This sensor does a fantastic job of filtering out shadows, animals, and people. Only passing cars should trigger the driveway monitor, according to theory. It uses a magnetic sensor driven by a solar panel to detect passing vehicles, removing the need for batteries.

Works great just as described. (once or twice it has rang with a false alarm but this was due to an extra large truck going down the road). I would recommend this to a friend! Pretty cool to have solar technology in a drive way alert.. no wires to install .. Really nice to be laerted that someone has pulled into the drive before you hear the knock on the door LOL SUPER product.

The waterproof sensors in this gadget detect heat and sound using Passive Infrared, allowing you to be informed of activity without having to go outdoors. Another advantage is the ability to set up notifications if your children go into an area that has been marked as restricted. Another incredible feature is how easy it is to put everything together. The three warning options, door chime, flashing LED light, and door chime with flashing LED light, each serve a specific function.

We placed a sensor at the mid section on our lane to alert of someone arriving, which is a god bit away from the house. It was extremely easy to install. Plug it in and mount the sensor and good to go. The motion detection does pick up on birds flying by or wind gusts occasionally, but that’s not a complaint from us. I would recommend this. I’m know I didn’t have high hopes after reading the negative reviews, but I’m guessing most of those are user error. I’m a young female and installed myself and have no issues with this product.

Super easy to Install. I love the chime that alarms me to visitors. Great for a heads up when FedEx and ups deliver items given no one rings your doorbell anymore. Just remember to Install far enough into the driveway entrance to prevent chimes on vehicles turning around in your driveway, which seems to happen alot here. I bought a corner piece of pvc pipe to add onto the pvc pipe included just to protect the cable as it turns from the unit base to the dirt for burial .
