Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is a 20V drill better than 12V?
Neither is superior to the other. The only thing that matters is the kind of job that needs to be done. If you are only a casual user, 12V is adequate. However, if you are working on anything difficult, heavy-duty 20V drilling is the best option. Remember that the higher the voltage, the greater the torque required.
What is a drill?
Simply put, drilling or a drill is a machine used to make holes in a variety of materials, including walls, timber, stainless steel, and other surfaces. Drilling can also be used to help mount nails in small spaces.
How do I choose a drill?
Before purchasing new drilling, consider the following points:
1. Voltage rating
4. and its ergonomic design
What size drill is best?
It is determined by the surface to be drilled. The 1/4-in chuck is ideal for light work, the 3/8-in chuck is suitable for a wide range of applications and is primarily intended for home use, and the 1/2-in chuck is perfect for professionals.

For your peace of mind, a 100% satisfaction guarantee is provided. The Comoware cobalt drill bit set is made of High-Speed Steel (HSS) for reliability and is a good contender against hard surfaces like hard plastics, wood, and stainless steel. It also has a precise 135° split point, round straight shanks, and gold finishes.
Owning a boat we use in salt water requires stainless steel, or you have a rusty mess. One plate of 1/4 in was so tough I had trouble getting one hole with a high speed bit. Cobalt does so much better, and if I lubricate to keep bit cool they last. I don't even hesitate when drilling stainless, I just go for cobalt. These work great.
Thanks to its high-speed steel material, this heavy-duty bit easily pierces stainless steel. For a wide range of uses, sizes ranging from 1/16-in to 1/2-in (29 pieces in total) are available. Furthermore, the alloy mixture makes it resistant to heat and abrasion.
Works great for drilling holes in stainless, black steel pipes, and even hardened steel. Only had one bust out on me due to hand drilling at an angle.
The shank is tri-flatted, and the two-flute construction is distinctive. The drill bit by Neiko is made of titanium High-Speed Steel (HSS). Its 135-degree split point tip allows it to run efficiently. Ideal for use on any surface, soft or hard, including hard steel.
This product is excellent. I tried to drill a hole on a stainless steel plate. Before buying this drill set, I used my regular drill bits and could not make a dent on the plate after 5 minutes. I gave up, searched Amazon for a better tool and bought this one. Upon arrival, I tried it and in several seconds, a 1/2" hole was complete.
Made with no-spin shanks for easy drilling. The Dewalt drill bit is excellent for drilling in hard plastics, wood, and stainless steel. The set consists of a dependable plastic case for travel convenience, as well as 21 bits ranging in size from 1/16-in to 1/2-in.
I've been trying to drill into really strong steel of my hotrod's boxed frame rails without much luck. Old bits sharpened on my Drill Doctor were just making no headway. These bits really did the job quickly.

The tough bit for drilling stainless steel like butter. The Bosch Cobalt M42 pieces are made of aluminium with 8% cobalt for a longer life cycle. It also has a three-flat shank and can withstand high temperatures.
I have drilled steel, both carbon and stainless, aluminum and wood. Very sharp so they do not bounce. When used with a cutting fluid you can really use a high feed rate. Should have bought a set like this decades ago.

A set of 13 cobalt drill bits is included. The sizes vary from 1/16-in to 1/4-in. It has a 3-flat shank for a secure grip and a 135-degree split point for stable anchoring. Because of its 5% cobalt and HSS material content, it is useful for drilling in hard metal.
Nice compact case and good bits. I just needed a small set to toss in my luggage when I travel. Mostly used on aluminum but occasionally I need to drill into thin stainless. These seem to hold up well.
|Material||High-Speed Steel and 5% Cobalt|
This drill bit set from INTOO consists of 21 pieces. It is specially designed for stainless steel and has a longer construction. It has a titanium coating finish for high rust and bruise resistance. Furthermore, its triangle-shank produces crisp, smooth holes with no unsightly cuts.
[...] I wanted these for metal drilling when I need a good quality bit, especially for Stainless Steel which is tough to drill. I drilled a hole in a piece of mild steel with no problem. [...]

The sizes available range from 1/16-in to 1/2-in in 1/64-in increments. The HSS, or High-Speed Steel, construction provides excellent resistance to corrosion and rusting. These drill bits are also equipped with 135-degree split points for unwavering penetrating to tame hard metal.
Great product. Well worth the money. Bought to drill some stainless steel and performed great!

|Material||High Speed Steel|
Packed in a small soft case for convenient storage and transportation. The Amazon Basics drill bit is made of high-speed steel that has titanium-plated. These 13-piece drill bits are sturdy enough to drill holes in hard metals like stainless steel without difficulty. Furthermore, the brand is gracious enough to provide a 1-year warranty guarantee with each purchase.
I wasn't expecting much for what little I paid but , boy, was I surprised. I've used all but the 1/16" and 1/8" bits and I'm still using 'em on mild steel, carbon steel and brass, not a single problem. I haven't even had to grind 'em yet but will probably have to touch 'em up soonish. Remarkable for such an inexpensive set. Definitely worth having, at this price you can't go wrong.
|Material||High Speed Steel|
The best drill bits for every project. This set comes in 29 different sizes for versatility, as well as a 135-degree split point for precise drilling. It is also relatively long and equipped with wear-resistant technology to ensure that it lasts as long as possible before falling apart.
I’ve used these bits often and they show wear or damage. I’m constantly drilling through thick steel plates and stainless steel. Great for the price. Anywhere else and you will pay double or triple especially on the tool truck. Make sure you use cutting lubricate and run about 300-600 rpms to keep from burning up the bits.

The drilling process involves the use of a bit that will fully perforate the surface. Aside from size, the drill bit's selection is followed by the suitability of the surface and the strength of the drilling. Make sure to pay close attention to the bit's material. And last but not least, carbide bits are sufficient for a soft surface, whereas high-speed steel bits are optimal for a hard surface or hard metal.
