This is more spacious than I thought it was going to be and the dogs love it. For size reference, this is my 16 week old German Shepherd and full grown chihuahua mix. I have a feeling the shepherd will be cramming himself in there even when he is too big. Lol!

If your German Shepherd is well-behaved enough to sit quietly in a covered crate, this compact soft crate is ideal for short-distance travel. Aside from its mobility, there isn’t much about this crate that makes it a must-buy, but a travel crate needs to be simple to move or it isn’t a suitable travel crate. The essential advantages are polyester breathability, a lack of stimulus, and a comfortable pet bed. It is lightweight and comes with a convenient strap.

Both our 100 pound german shepherd and two 5 pound yorkies enjoyed staying in the crate. It is much taller and wider than other similar brands. Folds very flat for easy packing.

I ordered this for my new German Shepherd puppy. I had never crate trained a dog before but it was suggested by my vet to do so with him. Unless you rent a private jet every time you fly, you are aware that flying necessitates sacrificing room. Every mode of transportation is much less “roomy” than your home. This travel box defies that rule and provides a roomy method to transport your German Shepherd (or in the air). It’s the human equivalent of an RV. Another factor to consider is airflow since dogs might get cramped and nervous if they do not receive enough fresh air. In my almost thirty years of assembling Petmate dog crates, this particular crate for our German Sheperd was the easiest to assemble. Our German Shepherd did not take long to adjust to the size of the crate as he is still a puppy. He just loves the new crate.
